    Sapura Kencana Fabrication Yard located in Lumut, Perak


    200 acres of area
    Breakfast provided Safety briefing by HSE
    The side current is working on two jacket platform. One drilling jacket and one more is production with living
    quarters. Both jacket is designated to be used at Sarawak field. One is owned by Sapura Kencana energy itself and
    one more is Petronas.

    Mud mat:
    provides stability
    to the jacket legs
    Sacrificial anode

    When at the join the diameter is thicker because there are more force acting at joint. As can see also
    the support lift to help the jacket lifted to be assemble before boggey lift it and transport it to the
    barge.

    EXTRA INFORMATIONS
    The structure to pull the structure near to the sea is called boogie.
    PLET : process hydrocarbon for subsea facilities
    PLEM : traffic system for subsea facilities
    The OD of the legs are vary but the ID is the same throughout the whole legs.
    The riser diameter for gas is larger than oil.
    Process and Life Cycle of Platform: Fabrication, testing, exportation to the site, installation, hook-
    up (lifting) , commissioning (welding), drilling & production, decommissioning
    Living quarters, processing platform, flare tower and jacket legs will install in offshore.
    Temporary beam ( Grey colour)

    Built temporarily for ease of work access during construction.


    Grey grating at the center act as a hook for crane to lift the whole structure
    during loading or installation.
    After installation is complete, temporary beam will be cut.

    Painted in white to indicate hydrocarbon pipe
    Utility pipe is usually painted in red such as fresh
    water from onshore
    Components are: elbow, flange, pipe and valve.
