Sikagard -700 WT
Siloxane impregnation for concrete and masonry substrates
Description Sikagard -700 WT is a 1-pack solvent free aqueous emulsion of a
modified polymethyl siloxane. It is developed for the water-repellent
impregnation of facades. This product is effective on both alkaline and
neutral substrate.

Material consumption Approx. 0,2 kg/m2 per application for substrates with normal absorbency.
Material consumption and the number of applications depend entirely on the
surface condition and porosity; in case of doubt a test should be carried out
in ourder to find the exact material consumption and number of applications
required.

Hints on application Areas such as window frams, which are to receive a protective coating, must
be masked prior to application of Sikagard -700 WT.
Area not to be impregnated, such as window panes, etc. which are in danger of
being contamianted with Sikagard -700 WT should also be carefully masked
prior to application, as the material cannot be removed afterwards from glass.
Important : When applying Sikagard -700 WT care must be taken where
there are fitted cable lines, plastic control panels or similar. Whereas PVC
is resistant to Sikagard -700 WT, polystyrene elements and other plastic
parts may get damaged.
Condition of substrate Free of dust, soot and dirt, lime efflorescence, salt and paint remnants
etc.must be removed, if necessary with suitable detergents or by light
sand blasting or steam cleaning.
Mixing Sikagard -700 WT can be diluted with water at the ratio of
Sikagard -700 WT : water of 1:4 to 9
