PREPARATION:
Lanotec U.P. will give best results when applied to a clean, dry surface.
It is understood that not all areas can be cleaned or dried before application, but the application of
U.P. will give far more benefits on a dirty surface than not applying U.P. at all.
Remove sources of ignitions, voltage and flame before use.
Lanotec U.P. is soluble in oil, and therefore light oils on machined parts do not need to be removed before
applying.
Where corrosion is intense, the removal of large chunks and flaky areas will reduce the amount of product
required.
Where short term mothballing of equipment is the ultimate aim, a good clean with a powerful degreaser
before application of Lanotec U.P. will give best results. Lanotec recommends Lanotec PowaWash or
Lanotec Citra-Force.
APPLICATION:
Shake container to ensure product is mixed correctly. Colder climates will require extra agitation.
Lanotec U.P. can be applied via spray, brush, roller or lambs wool applicator.
Lanotec provides a 750ml trigger bottle and a 1.5L pump up pressurised sprayer, for small to medium
corrosion protection jobs. For larger jobs recommended application is via a pump-up garden-type sprayer
with Viton seals.
Coverage is approximately 20m per litre. Only one coat is required. If over applied the coating will
become tacky, and debris will stick to it. High pressure water blasting will remove the debris and leave
the Lanotec U.P. behind.
For storage protection of critical spares and parts, items can be dropped into a dipping tank of Lanotec U.P.
(no dilution is required). Allow excess to run off before storage.
When applying to objects via spray, hold 30cm away from object and apply to area requiring lubricating or
protecting.
When the surface looks wet, you have applied enough product.
Allow one hour drying time before putting equipment to use.
If dust adhesion is undesirable, Lanotec U.P. can be buffed to stop dust adhering. Dust and dirt
adhesion is only to the protective coating, and when coating is removed equipment will revert back to
original appearance.
NOTE:
Not recommended for galvanised surfaces.
