    We had one student sitting A2 Music this year and it has been well documented
    that this student should never have been allowed to do the course. The students
    English proficiency was so poor that accessing the examination paper was proving
    very difficult. Interventions had been put in place and we worked our best to
    ensure that this students achieved a grade they could be proud of. We knew that
    we would never achieve the target grade for this students, and the fact that he has
    come out with a D is better than we could have expected.
