PRINCIPALS CORNER
Picture Retakes: If you ordered pictures and your student is getting retakes, please bring the original
pictures back for retake day.

Night of Reformation: Celebrate 500 years since Martin Luther started the reformation Saturday,
November 4, 7:00-9:00 pm in the CLE gymnasium.

The 8th grade class would like to invite you to Thanksgiving Dinner and a Show Fundraiser on Tuesday,
November 14th at 6pm at the CLE gym. Donations will be used for the 8th grade class trip. Join us for a
delicious dinner and enjoy the show by the 8th graders and friends!

There will be a Thanksgiving Potluck at the Frost SDA Church on Thanksgiving Day. Everyone is invited.
Please contact DJ Pia (989-388-8568) for more information.

If you ordered new uniform shirts, please come in and pay for them and pick them up. If they are not
picked up by Friday, November 10, they will go into the inventory for other students to purchase. There
are some extras so even if you didnt order, we may still have some that will work for you.

Keep reading for Book It. Dont forget to turn in report form as soon as your child reaches his/her goal. The
report forms for October are due Friday, November 10, 2017. You will find a new form for November
attached.

Parents of 3rd grade students: Please help your student finish their assignments by the due date. It is
important that your student keeps current with his/her work. Also, be sure to regularly check your
childs progress on Jupiter.
Grades 4-6

Turtles: We are looking for funds and/or food to help feed and take care of our classroom turtles.
Anything will help. I am also looking for a student/family to take the turtles home over Christmas break.
If anyone can help please let me know. Thank you in advance for your help!

ADVENTURERS:
See Pathfinder announcement below regarding can collecting.

PATHFINDERS:
November 4- The Cedar Lake Pathfinder & Adventurer Clubs will be going out can collecting for non-
perishable foods in the local area. Please wear your Full-dress uniform. Permission slips will be available
to sign before leaving. All families are welcome to help us with this event. Adventurers must have a legal
guardian/parent with them to attend. Meet at 2:30pm in the Cedar Lake Church Fellowship Hall after
potluck.

November 5- Pathfinders will be meeting at 10:00am at CLE and then head over to the Cedar Lake
Cemetery for our Rake-a-thon Fundraiser/Community Service event. Dont forget to arrange your
pledges before this. Dress warm for the weather and bring gloves & rakes. Permission slips will be
available before we go.
