SECRETARY OUT OF THE OFFICE Mrs. Pia will be out of the office Thursday and Friday, October 30 &31, for a computer class. If you have anything for the newsletter please get that to her by Wednesday, October 29.
CASH FOR CLASS We are participating in the Cash for Class program to earn money for our school. During the weeks of October 19-25, and November 23-29, purchases made with your yes Rewards Account at D&W, Family Fare, Glens, & VGs will automatically be credited to our schools account. WHOOPING COUGH There has been a confirmed case of Whooping Cough at GLAA. We have not had any known cases at our school. However, if there is a case at CLE it is recommended by the health department that unvaccinated students stay home until at least 1 week after the last case occurs. We will do our best to keep you updated. Remember to cover your cough and wash your hands often.
FIELD TRIP DRIVERS If you havent brought in your insurance and drivers license to be copied please do so.
PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES Please see the attached schedule for your Parent-Teacher Conference. If you cannot make it at your scheduled time, please contact your childs teacher to reschedule. We are being evaluated this year by the conference this is something they do every 5 years to help us give your children the best possible education. Part of this process is a parent survey, there will be a table with surveys and a box to put them in in the commons during Parent-Teacher Conferences, please take a few minutes while you are waiting to fill this out, we are hoping for 100% participation. Thank you!

PRINCIPALS CORNER Last week Daniels Kitchen was held in the CLE gym. This coming weekend, due to Men of Faith, we will be holding Womens Ministries meetings in our gym facility.
Tomorrow at our chapel time we are bidding a fond farewell to the Cedar Lake Postmaster on her last day at the Cedar Lake Post Office. Thank you for all of your help at our school and dont forget to visit us at our school activities. Aloha e!
Thank you to the constituent churches for your support of Cedar Lake Elementary. Church visitation is November 1, each classroom will be going to a different church. If you have students in multiple classrooms please talk to their teachers . Grades K-3 will be going to Edmore, grades 4-6 will be going to Lakeview, and grades 7 & 8 will be going to Frost.
Choir practice is October 24, 9:15-9:45.
