3‐ Light Duty Pumps:
Light Duty Pumps can only be considered if all of the following conditions are true:
‐ Non‐Essential service
‐ Non‐ Hazardous service
‐ 100% Spare
‐ Discharge pressure > 1900 kPa (g)
‐ Fluid Temp. between 0: 150˚ C
‐ RPM less than 3600
‐ TDH less than 120 m
Two Types of pumps can be considered for the light duty
1‐ Flexibly coupled, vertical in‐line, back pullout
Can only be considered if the additional two conditions are true:
‐ For driver power less than 55 kW.
‐ impeller tip speed less than 62 m/s
2‐ Horizontal foot mounted, single suction, back‐pull‐out pumps.
2.1 Single-stage centrifugal pumps:
‐ Vertical, in-line, close-coupled pumps, OH5 to ISO 13709 or BS 4082-1 Code R
Differential head is lower than 200 m
Flow is lower than 400 m3/h
Temperature is lower than 200 C
