1. Distinguish between open loop and closed loop control system.
2. What is a characteristic equation?
3. Explain the types of control systems.
4. What are static and dynamic error constants? Explain.
5. Explain BIBO stability. . (5x3=15 marks)
PART B
Answer all questions.
Each question carries 5 marks.
6. Explain Mason’s gain formula with an example.
7. Give a note on different test signals.
8. Explain the guidelines to determine the TF of mechanical rotational system
9. Briefly explain the procedure in Routh’s stability criterion.
10. Check the stability of the system whose characteristic equation is
S4+2S3+6S2+4S+1=0 (5x5=25 marks)
