A Position Paper on Transgender Rights

Introduction
A person may be considered to be transgender if their gender identity is

inconsistent or not culturally associated with the sex they were assigned. At birth, and
consequently also with the gender role and social status that is typically associated with
that sex. They may have or may intend to establish a new gender status that accords with
their gender identity. We all know that everyone is different and yet we are all the same.
Therefore, we should embrace the diversity, changes and gender status of every
individual.
The Philippines is ranked one of the most gay-friendly nations in Asia. The
country ranked as the 10th most gay friendly in 2013 global survey covering 39 countries,
in which only17 had majorities accepting homosexuality titled “The Global Divide on
Homosexuality”. The survey conducted by the Pew Research Center showed that 73% of
adult Filipinos agreed with the statement that “homosexuality should be accepted bay
society” up by nine percentage of LGBT acceptance in the Philippines are (1)
archipelagos historic point of view and respect to gender-shifting and none-based gender
roles before the 12th century which Christianization and the current public medium
(television, writing radios and social media) that have set a spotlight on the suffering of
the countless LGBT Filipinos in their own country due to colonial era and colonial-
inspired religions.
The negative arguments of transgender rights will be debunked and enforce

arguments which present benefits of providing the rights of transgender.
Counter Arguments
Gender is a term that is created within the last 50 years. Biologically, there are
only two options-male and female. To claim that sex is fluid, is insanity. Furthermore,
there is a movement brought you by Massachusetts that promotes “transgender”
childhood. Children as young as there are told by their parents that they can choose to be
male or female any in the LGBT community. If this trend continues, it will spell the end
of civilization.
We should consider that LGBT is part of the society; we should respect them
because as what you can see LGBT community has a big contribution to promote our
country.
Additional restrooms construction should be equality for all without violating the
rights of gender exposure of opposite’s sex. It is inappropriate, unsafe and limitless
security of restroom etiquette and manners if transgender, children, teenagers or college
students wants their own restroom, they should have a separate third restroom to
accommodate them, just in the case of handicap children.
Every one of us has a right of what we wants to do in our life as man or a woman,
LGBT was also a human, yes! They are lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender but still
they are created to be respect and they deserve love and care.
It’s not right to allow people of opposite gender into their bathroom of choice
according to how they feel versus what they really are. If they allow that, then anyone
and everyone including child molesters and rapist, pedophiles period will be able to go
any restrooms they choose and make a statement ‘ I am a gay or I relate to opposite
gender and get away with it. The government is losing their common sense on the issue.
Not only it is morally wrong but its spiritually wrong to.
My Argument
School should be safe places to everyone. But in the Philippines student who is
LGBT too often find that their schooling experience is marred by bullying,
discrimination, lack of access LGBT related information and in some cases, physical or
sexual assault. These abuses can cause deep and lasting harm and curtail students’ rights
to education protected under Philippine and international law.
Effort to address discrimination against LGBT people have meet with resistance,
aincluding by religious leader. The catholic bishop conference of the Philippines (CBCP)
has condemn violence and discrimination against LGBT people, but in practice, the
roman catholic church has resisted laws and policies that would protect LGBT rights. The
CBCP has sought to weaken and discrimination legislation pending.
One way that schools can address bullying and discrimination and ameliorate
their effects is by providing educational resources to students teachers, and staff to
familiarize them with people.
Conclusion
Although there’s a lot who contradict the transgender rights because they said
that they are the end of civilization but then the LGBT community are still human and
think the best thing that we do is to embrace, accept and love their diversity.
