kids. There have been as many as three busts a week there this spring. The youngest victim ever, rescued a few weeks ago, was an
infant, 2 months old. Most are under 12.
Reflect: Why is engaging in sexual activity with a nonconsenting person who is a child unacceptable?
Engaging in sexual activity with a child is a form of manipulation where an adult takes advantage of not yet developed brain
of a child. This is simply unacceptable since the child has no idea that his/her dignity and body is being violated for the sick
pleasure of someone.

What do you think should parents, teachers, and other adults do to keep their children safe from unwanted sexual advances from other
people?
Give them the basic knowledge to know what unacceptable behaviour is. Start with fully informing them about sex, make it
clear to them not only should they scream but that they should fight back. Teach them to never go anywhere with anyone unless
the parents approve in advance. Tell them that if anyone tries anything and you be explicit about what some people try that they
tell you immediately and that you will never blame them.
