1. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES :
TO PROVIDE STUDENTS :
 An overview of the conceptual framework of the personnel management function.
 A working knowledge of the management application of tools, techniques and procedures in
personnel management.
 To give emphasis on implementation of quality products and services.

2. COURSE DESCRIPTION :
This course will emphasize the responsibility of all managers in an organization for the effective
management and utilization of human resources. A board perspective will be adopted involving both
theoretical and applied exploration of major areas of the field.

Areas covered in this course include external and organizational context of human resources
management, the design and management of personnel systems, employee relations, collective,
negotiation, industrial relations and contemporary issued such as wage reforms, the implications of
an aging population for human resources planning and management and comparative and
international perspective of human resources management.

4. METHODOLOGY :
1. The professor will give an overview of the entire course. A lecturette from of instruction
with active class participation will be undertaken in class per session.
2. The students will make a group report on the concepts in PowerPoint presentation.
3. All topics and example shall be accumulated and SAVE in one (FLASH/USB) after the end
of the Course.
4. Submit a computer – generated reports.
5. At the end of the course, a sit down exam shall be given.
