Utilized Authentic Intellectual Work (AIW) which focuses on student
construction of knowledge and content, theoretical understanding, and extensive
communication through student centered activities.
Engaged and implemented lessons that followed Iowa Core Standards. Lesson
plans involved 21st Century skills and cooperative learning structures in Reading,
Writing, Language Arts, and Math for sixth graders.
Implemented behavior management strategies to identify and improve on task
behaviors inside and outside of the classroom.
Co-taught and modified lessons to fit the diverse needs of students within the
classroom. Made necessary accommodations to students who had IEP’s, BIP’s,
and 504 plans.
Attended professional development days which included new strategies to
