Supplier shall submit with bid details of hand wheel and gearbox operators for all valve sizes. 99 14. Valves 8" and larger shall be gear operated. 15. Gear operator shall be totally enclosed waterproof type, packed with suitable lubricant. 100 Thay shall be fitted with one or more easily accessible grease nipples. 16. To prevent incorrect operation, the mounting of gear operators shall be such that a correct flow passage is assured, 101 and the valve can be fully opened or closed. 102 17. Maximum force to operate valves shall be 350 N. 18. In addition to the above the valves shall be fitted with the gear boxes when the following brake torques are exceeded at maximum 103 differential pressure across the valve seat: Hand wheel maximum torque 150 Nm with Wheel maximum diameter 750 mm. 104 19.
