SWIMMING
FOR ST. THERESE (4:10-5:10 PM)

I. Objectives: After the lesson, the students are expected to:


1. Explain how carbohydrates, fat and protein optimize our energy system.
2. Describe the role of swimming in health behavior.
3. Apply the proper etiquette and safety in the use of facilities and equipment.

II. Subject Matter: Health Optimizing Physical Education


Reference: Different Web site sources.
III. Materials: Laptop and TV.

IV. Procedures:
a) Greetings.
b) Checking of Attendance
c) Motivation: Flash the different images to the students; ask the students what they can
say about the images? Expect the following answers:
 Doing exercises
 Doing physical fitness
 Eating the right food for the body.
 Doing physical activities

d) Lesson Proper: The teacher discusses the Health Optimizing Physical Education through
the integration of student’s opinion, knowledge and ideas on the topic. There will be a
roll call for sharing of ideas, experiences and knowledge.

V. Generalization: Instruction in the development and care of the body ranging from simple
calisthenics exercises is very important in attaining Physical Fitness. It includes training in
hygiene, the proper etiquette and safety in the use of facilities and equipments, optimizing
energy system and the proper food we should eat.
