New Holland Error Codes
Notes:
First digit is sensor designator.
Second digit is fault designator.
‘Third digit is “E” for error code display.
Diagnostics mode is entered by pressing the ambient button 3 times within 5 seconds.
Display cycle rate is every 2 seconds while in diagnostics mode,
Error Codes (35 total):
00E Indicates end of diagnostic sweep.
10E Cab sensor open
LIE Cab sensor shorted
12E Cab sensor out of range high
1BE Cab sensor out of range low
20E Outlet sensor open
21E Outlet sensor shorted
22E Outlet sensor out of range high
23E Outlet sensor out of range low
30E Ambient sensor open
31E Ambient sensor shorted
32E Ambient sensor out of range high
33E Ambient sensor out of range low
Troubleshooting procedure:
1. Check sensor resistance (see Table 1 for correct values). Ifincorrect, replace
sensor.
2. sensor is good, trace wiring and repait/replace.
3. If wiring is correct, inspect connector at rear of control panel and clean if
necessary.
4, Ifconnection is good, replace control panel
40E Evaporator sensor open
41E Evaporator sensor shorted
42E Evaporator sensor out of range high
43E Evaporator sensor out of range low
Troubleshooting procedure:
1. Check sensor resistance (see Table 2 for correct values). If incorrect, replace
sensor.
2, If sensor is good, trace wiring and repair/replace.
3. If wiring is correct, inspect connector at rear of control panel and clean if
necessary.
4, If connection is good, replace control panel
30E Solar A sensor shorted high
SIE Solar A sensor shorted low
52E Solar B sensor shorted high
53E Solar B sensor shorted lowTroubleshooting procedure:
5. Check voltages at sensor with respect to ground. With no solar load, pin A
should be 2.5 to 3 volts, and pin B should be less than 0.5 volts. With full sun,
pin A should be less than I volt, and pin B should be approximately 0.5 volts.
6, Ifincorrect, disconnect sensor. Voltage at pin A of connector should be 3.5 to
4,0 V,, voltage at pin B should be less than 0.5 V. If voltages are correct,
replace sensor.
7. If voltages incorrect, trace wires and check continuity. If wire continuity is
good and connectors look clean, replace control panel.
60E Low Pressure sensor open
62E Low Pressure sensor fault ‘STATIC’
Troubleshooting procedure:
1. Connect refrigerant pressure gauge set to confirm that system is charged. If
system is not charged, troubleshoot refrigerant system.
2. If charged, check for continuity (switch closing) at the low pressure switch. If
the switch is properly seated on the fitting and is an open circuit, replace the
switch.
3. If'switch is closed, trace the wiring back to the control panel and check
continuity. If wire continuity is good and connectors look clean, replace
control panel
GIE Low Pressure sensor shorted
Troubleshooting procedure:
1, Unplug pressure switch and check for short to ground. Ifa short is found,
replace the switch.
2. Ifthe switch is OK, check wiring from control panel to low pressure switch for
short to power or ground. Ifa problem is found, repair or replace as
necessary.
3. Ifno problem is found and connectors look clean, replace the control panel.
63E Low Pressure sensor fault ‘LATCH OUT”
‘Troubleshooting procedure:
1. Check switch and wire harness for intermittent open. If found, repair or
replace as necessary.
2. If wiring OK, check to confirm correct system refrigerant charge.
JOE High Pressure sensor open
TRE High Pressure sensor fault “STATIC”
Troubleshooting procedure:
1. Connect refrigerant pressure gauge set to confirm that system pressures are
correct. If pressures are incorrect, troubleshoot refrigerant system.2. IEpressures are OK, check for continuity (switch closing) at the high pressure
switch. Ifthe switch is properly seated on the fitting and is an open circuit,
replace the switch.
3. If switch is closed, trace the wiring back to the control panel and check
continuity. If wire continuity is good and connectors look clean, replace
control panel.
TIE High Pressure sensor shorted
Troubleshooting procedure:
1. Unplug pressure switch and check for short to ground. Ifa short is found,
replace the switch
2. Ifthe switch is OK, check wiring from control panel to high pressure switch
for short to power or ground. Ifa problem is found, repair or replace as
necessary.
3. Ifno problem is found and connectors look clean, replace the control panel
73E High Pressure sensor fault ‘LATCH OUT’
Troubleshooting procedure:
1. Check switch and wire harness for intermittent open. If found, repair or
replace as necessary.
2. Ifwiring OK, monitor system pressures during operation to verify they are
correct. Ifnot, troubleshoot refrigerant system.
80E Driver fault “CLUTCH OVER CURRENT"
BIE Driver fault ‘OPEN CLUTCH”
82E Driver fault ‘ACTUATOR OVER CURRENT”
83E Driver fault “BLOWER OVER CURRENT’
Troubleshooting procedure:
1. Check relay coil resistance. If incorrect, replace relay.
2. Ifrelay coil is correct, check for short to ground in wire to panel for “OVER
CURRENT” faults, or for open circuit for “OPEN CLUTCH” fault.
3. If wiring is good, replace control panel.
90E Memory fault ‘WRITE ERROR’
SIE Memory fault ‘READ ERROR”
Troubleshooting procedure:
1, Tur power off (at ignition switch) for at least 30 seconds.
2, Tum power back on.
3. If error code stays on, replace control panel.Table 1. Cab Temperature Resistance
