    In today’s competitive global environment,
    more companies are expanding overseas.
    We want to support the internationalisation
    efforts of willing and able Singapore
    companies.

    The GCP Grant helps companies defray


    eligible costs of their overseas expansion
    projects in capability building, market access
    and manpower development.

    FUNDING SUPPORT
    For SMEs*: Up to 70% of eligible costs incurred.
    Valid until 31 March 2018.

    For non-SMEs: Up to 50% of eligible costs incurred.

    * SME is defined as a company whose turnover does not exceed


    S$100 million based on the most recent audited report.

    02// MARKET ACCESS


    Supportable Activities Eligible Expenses

    Enhance market presence in ALL MARKETS Costs of engaging a third-party professional.


    • Feasibility study and market research
    • M&A due diligence
    • Pilot & test bedding**

    Entry into NEW MARKETS Office rental and basic salary for up to 2 business
    • Setting up overseas marketing presence. For the project development staff based in the new market
    to qualify: for up to 12 months. Support is capped at
    // The new overseas marketing presence must be S$100,000 per year.
    in a new city, where the company has not had
    sales of >S$100,000 for the past three years (non-
    cumulative). The three years refer to the current and
    previous two financial years.
    // Minimally a Singaporean/ PR must be posted to the
    new overseas marketing presence.

    ** A pilot and test bedding project should help a company demonstrate the viability of their solution, establish a track record to scale
    the solution in overseas markets, and be non-revenue generating. Eligible expenses for qualifying projects include costs of hardware,
    software, manpower and third-party costs for up to 6 months.

    03// MANPOWER DEVELOPMENT


    Supportable Activities Eligible Expenses

    Develop international HR strategies. For example: Costs of engaging a third-party professional.


    • HR research and HR compliance for market entry
    • Cross-border HR management (e.g. global talent
    management strategy, employees’ international
    deployment and repatriation, global reward strategy)

    Talent recruitment Costs of engaging a third-party recruitment


    professional to hire C-suites and key talent.

    Overseas market attachments for employees who are Basic salary, including employer’s CPF
    Singaporean or PR to conduct: contribution of nominated Singaporean and PR
    • Pre-market entry feasibility study during the training period, capped at 6 months.
    • Pre-posting induction
    • Business capability or technical knowledge acquisition

    DO YOU QUALIFY?
    To qualify for financial support, you will need to fulfil the following criteria:
    Global HQ*** anchored in Singapore
    An annual sales turnover of at least S$500,000 based on the most recent audited report
    A minimum paid-up capital of S$50,000

    Each application will be evaluated and subjected to approval on a case-by-case basis.


    Enterprise Singapore will co-fund eligible costs.

    *** Global HQ refers to global management control and decision making functions based in Singapore. (Indicators could include the
    global CXOs being based in Singapore; board meetings are held in Singapore, etc).

    For Claims:
    Please note that if the claim amount for the Project is above S$5,000, the company shall appoint
    an independent auditor to verify the accuracy of the expenses. Companies using Enterprise
    Singapore’s appointed auditors can be eligible for an audit fee grant, capped at S$500 or 70% of
    the audit fee, whichever is lower. The appointed auditors’ contact details are available in the Letter
    of Offer which will be uploaded in the Business Grants Portal upon approval.
