A. Pursuant to Girl Scouts of the Philippines - Camarines Sur Council Calendar of Activities, a 6-day
Training Seminar of Registered Troop Leaders in Basic, Age Level and Outdoor Leadership
Course ( Troop Leadership Course) and Campers Permit Course will be on April 24-29, 2017 at
Magarao Central School, Magarao District. Hereunder are the details :

1. The GSP Camarines Sur Council had identified Candidates and Troop Leaders to this School
Year 2016-2017 Pilar Hidalgo Lim Achievement Award and Chief Girl Scout Medal Scheme in Sta. Lucia
Elementary School GSP Troop and Doroteo National High School, Magarao District.
3 . Pursuant to DECS Memorandum 143, s. 1997 on Service Credits, DECS Order No. 30, s,
1999 on the revised rules on the granting of Credits/Weight points to GSP Achievement and Awards
are hereby reiterated.
4. That Pilar Hidalgo Lim Achievement Award and Chief Girl Scout Medal Scheme activities
during Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays shall be granted one week-day of vacation of service credits
for every eight (8) hours or one day of attendance in scouting activities.

INTERNATIONAL FRIENDSHIP EXCHANGE AND DX CONTEST ( INFEX) on Saturday,
February 18, 2017 at GSP Headquarters, Panganiban Drive, Naga City from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Orientation will be on February 17 afternoon.
In this connection, may we ask the following Senior Girl Scouts to attend on said event.
Girls are requested to be in GSP official uniform. Transportation expenses maybe taken from the school
GSP retention fund, MOOE or any other sources.

Each entry must indicate their category on their logsheets and state the actual maximum power
output.
V. POWER AND FREQUENCIES : Shall be within the limits of the Radio Station License of the
assisting station.
VI. FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS
1. Only registered Senior and Cadet Girl Scouts for the year 2016 - 2017 may join. Participants should
have had experiences on Ham Radio activities/training/orientations.
2. There should be one (1) patrol per Amateur Radio Station (ARS). However, a Council can have
more than one (1) patrol consultant. One patrol should have a minimum of six (6) and a maximum
of eight (8) girls, regardless of troop affiliation. All other girls in the station will be observers only.
3. Only amateurs/clubs with valid Radio Station Licenses can assist the Girl Scouts. Stations wishing
to operate using a special callsign may request for an endorsement from PARA before filing the
same with the National Telecommunications Commission office concerned.
4. Only amateur stations whose clubs are affiliated with PARA will be eligible for certificates and/or
awards. It shall be the responsibility of the participating Council/school to inquire from PARA as
to the status of the assisting amateur station.
5. Under the full supervision of the licensed amateur radio operator, all the members of the
participating patrol should be able to contact at least one station during the contest period.
6. NO local assisting license amateur/club, including licensed Girl Scout amateurs, shall contact
stations for his/her patrol.
7. Duplicate contacts are not allowed. A station can be worked only once, except for DX1GSP. (see
SCORING)
8. Only the prescribed 2016 INFEX and DX contest registration forms and logsheets shall be
submitted.
9. All stations should check back to the Net Control, DX1GSP at 7.095 MHz at exactly 0900Z or
5:00P.M.
Explain Thinking Day and DX Contest briefly if the operator of the station worked does not
know anything about the event.
VIII. SCORING
Final score will be the sum total of points of all contacts provided that all the
requirements stated in the LOG SUBMISSION are complied.
In case of discrepancy of declaration of the category between the check in and submitted logsheet,
the check in will be considered as the final category.

amateur.

fax/postal mail not later than March 3, 2017 to :
DISQUALIFICATION
Violation of amateur radio regulations of the Philippines or the contest rules; unsportsmanlike conduct
and taking credit for excessive unverifiable QSOs will be sufficient cause for disqualification.
ANY use by the participants of any non-amateur means including, but not limited to, telephones,
internet, SMS, chat rooms or VoIP to SOLICIT, ARRANGE, or CONFIRM any contacts during the
contest is unsportsmanlike and the entry is subject to disqualification.
AWARDS
1. Plaque for the 1st Place and Certificate for the 2nd & 3rd placers for each entry classification in IV will
be awarded both to the Councils and the amateurs or the club stations. Certificates of Recognition will
be given to the girls of the 12 winning patrols.
2. All registered girls and amateurs/clubs participants will receive Certificates of Participation. This
includes local amateurs who were contacted by the girls during the DX Contest provided they have
submitted to GSP NHQ the accomplished logsheet to the same mailing address stated above.
4. The list of winners and participants will be circularized and announced in the PARA DU NET on 40m
and on PARA website as soon as all logs have been checked.
