in the universe that lies beyond the
cognition and care of God

• An initiated endeavor by God himself to
personally engage and dwell among those
that are his people/Children of God

• In this instance God reveals/uncovers himself to
his people.
• God allows us to either see or understand his
generous and personal attributes of who he IS
Coming Into God’s Presence
• As a believer we are simply responding to the
reality of God’s standing “INVITATION” to meet
Him on His terms “face to face”.

Unaware of God’s Presence
Many believers are unaware of God’s Presence.. however we can ask
God to make us aware of His presence
“Value of God’s Presence”..which meant we had to:

1. Perceiving it - be aware of what it is
2. Understanding it - comprehend its significance (importance)
3. Knowing it - by having or have had an intricate or personal
experience with it

Setting up the right environment
Setting up the right Mood – a frame of mind
that is receptive to something

What is the purpose of the Presence of God?

• To Reveal to us (saints & sinners) who He truly
is Ex 34:5-9

• God wants to be in our midst
• And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell
among them Ex 25: 8
• Establishing a receptive atmosphere

encourages God’s Presence
• A single day in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere
else! I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God
than live the good life in the homes of the wicked. (NLT) Ps
84:10

• Must Guard against sin and disharmony
• 28 Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the

flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you
overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He
purchased with His own blood. Act 20:28

• 13 indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers
were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and
thanking the LORD, and when they lifted up their voice with the
trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised
the LORD, saying:
“For He is good,
For His mercy endures forever,”
that the house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud,
14 so that the priests could not continue ministering because of
the cloud; for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God.

participating in it at their local assembly

• Come, let’s sing joyfully to the LORD. Let’s shout
happily to the rock of our salvation.2 Let’s come
into his presence with a song of thanksgiving. Let’s
shout happily to him with psalms. Ps 95:1-2
• Come, let’s worship and bow down. Let’s kneel in
front of the LORD, our maker,because he is our God
and we are the people in his care, the flock that he
leads. Ps 95:6-7

• 29 And when they had made an end of offering, the king
and all that were present with him bowed themselves,
and worshipped. 30 Moreover Hezekiah the king and the
princes commanded the Levites to sing praise unto the
LORD with the words of David, and of Asaph the seer.
And they sang praises with gladness, and they bowed
their heads and worshipped. 31 Then Hezekiah answered
and said, Now ye have consecrated yourselves unto the
LORD, come near and bring sacrifices and thank offerings
into the house of the LORD. And the congregation
brought in sacrifices and thank offerings; and as many as
were of a free heart burnt offerings.2Chron 29:29-31
