History :-
This roles installed for First Time in windows server 2003 R2,But This roles Before
2003 R2 is Namming Ris(Remote Installation Server),But The Different between ris and
Wds is ris working a unicast But wds working amulticast in 2008 and up?

Requirment to install wds:

 Dns and Dhcp


 Ntfs file server in Wds to install windows

Hint: if you want to install windows by using Wds in The pc you should using
Pxe (pre-boot Exectution environment)feature This feature already founded in Nic Card if
This feature Isn’t found you should make a Discover Image To get a Ip address for Dhcp
server..

Hint: After installing Dhcp server and create a scope you should install option (60) in Dhcp
This option Specially PXE feature, To show This option Follow this Step
1- Open Dhcp Console
2- Click Right on Scope Option
3- Select Probarty
4- Choose Option 60
Hint: After You Follow This Step you Didn’t Find This option , Because This Option
Specially WDS

Recommended:- installing DHCP Then install WDS


Install WDS :-
1- Install widows Deploy Server
2- Choose Deploy Server (Specially GUI)
3- Choose Transport Server (Multi Cast)
Hint:- Transport Server This Feature Specially multicast WDS if you Didn’t Choose
Transport This Meaning is no WDS…..
How to configuration WDS:
1- Click right in server name that play a WDS
2- Select configure server

Wizard in WDS:

 Install option
1- Integrated with active directory
2- Standalone server

Multicast transmissions
Multicast trans:
This proberties used To make a push OS to all devices its want to install OS
Multicast type:-

 Auto cast(default)
 Schadual

Answer file
File server jobs :-
1- Add roles and feature
2- Add update with OS
3- Add Drivers and capture Image

Hint :- To make answer file you should install software prog (windows ADK)
Steps:-
1- After install ADK open Windows System Image Manger
2- Add install.win to console wizard in ADK
3- After Extract make A new Answer file

How to add feature in OS Server
Steps:-
1- Go to image in WDS console and Export image
2- Make a mount for image That you make an Export for It
3- To make amount for wds image follow this
1- Open cmd
2- Open command you found it in wds file
