TERMINAL
FADE IN :
CONSULTANT
Jake leaves the building and spills onto the busy streets of
San Francisco but is totally distracted, he continuously bumps
into people, He goes to cross the street, not realising that
there is a green light, a truck jams on his breaks and BEEPS
his horn to prevent crashing into Jake. It pans from Jake
looking at his feet to looking at an angry, extremely animated
driver.
TRUCK DRIVER
CUT TO :
EXT. OUTSIDE SUB URBAN HOME – DAY
Jake takes his keys out of his pocket and go to put them in
the door but drops them, we see him clench his fists and bend
over to pick them up, he puts the key in the door and twists
right and enters the door.
Jake
The dog just looks up at him, panting and smiling and licks
his hand and collapses her head onto his knees.
CUT TO:
INT. JAKES HOUSE – NIGHT
The streets he walks now are calmer, well lit but not many
people around.
Jake
SHOP ASSISTANT
Jake
Jake cracks a half smile, grabs his cigarettes and leaves the
store.
CUT TO:
INT. JAKES BEDROOM – DAY
Jake
Jake
The last supper buddy, Im gonna miss you alot. But i’ll get to
see Karen again soon.
Jake
Jake finishes his plate and begins to clean his plate when he
hears a RING on his doorbell. He opens it to find a very happy
middle aged woman.
WOMAN
Jake
Woman
Jake grabs his dog and holds her close, they bundle together
for about 30 seconds before Jake lets go and guides the dog to
the door, The dog looks back at Jake with concern in her eyes.
Jake
Jake slowly shuts the door, not breaking eye contact with the
dog for a minute. As soon as the door fully closes he
collapses to the floor and puts his head in his heads and
begins to sob. He looks up at a picture of his wife Karen.
Jake
Fade to black.
