My earlier same thread deleted some unknown reason.I recieved many PM's by newbies about that thread which link still there in my signature (which
I not noticed) .Though same related thread is there of Subhdip here...still I sharing my way of trades as am trading this simple way since long time
now....
My only intention for start this thread that it may help some newbies to start trading in profitable and confidence way .....If this thread helps any new
trader am satisfied....

My trading based pivot method ...so need simple chart is must for trading....
Though many variables are there in this method but I am sharing the simple way...one can trade this method 1-2 years then you start yourself to
tweak what the best needed as per your personality and your experience trading this method....its comes automaticly with you as you trading this
method day by day ....
This method only helps newbies as advanced traders get bored from this method as they allready applyed many new tweaks in this method

Price action trading basicly trend trading ...we use pivots for find trends ...many threads allready in traderji explaining it various ways ..so I not go
much specificly ...will explain only what we need for our trade.

New traders had always confussed in identifying pivots me too in my earlier days ....Most important thing to know in PA trading is find correct pivots
in our chart ....its most basic thing...Once you perfected pivot thing then am sure you never see any difficulties moving on....
There are different type of pivots which are identified differently ...we always miss and confuse one say thats pivot other one say thats not a pivot
Here everyone is right in his thinking...but newbies are confuse when in live chart ...In live many start to confussing about pivot ...so they start
wandering all arround .....

Rally/Decline
Rally & Decline are the start of learning in chart for PA trading...its nothing
Price started to move up -Rally
Price started to move Down-Decline
How we see it in chart...
Its one bar we cant say its Rally or decline....
Here two bars ...last bar is higher high & higher low than first bar .....we can say its Rally
Here again two bars ,,,,last bar is lower high & lower low than first bar .....we can say its Decline
Here too two bars ...but what's this ?Its only a pause non trending
(Though we can find trend in every bar too looking its open and close)...
But we not need it here

Identifying Pivot
We must need clear cut way to find a pivot....so here its my way to identify pivot...
Rally started...when 3rd bar crosses high of 2nd bar ....now 1st bar low is pivot
we can call it as Minor pivot low
Decline started...when 3rd bar crosses low of 2nd bar ....now 1st bar high is pivot
we can call it as Minor pivot High

Simply in charts every connecting point between rally and decline is minor pivot....
if one minor pivot breaks connecting point between those pivots also a pivot

May be in marked area you had doubt....
So for identify pivots you must start marking pivots in charts....If you want to identify pivots in every chart without any doubt then you need to go
through hundreds of charts in off and live ....depends upon your screen time .....but if you want to succeed then you must do this hard work

Please NOTE....we use these pivots mostly for our trade entries and stops even in next step to find visual pivots and visual trends ...so this is
backbone of this /any method ....

There is one more pivot called aggressive pivot.We not use it always but using in some scenerios for entry & stops.nothing special in it.simple ....but
you not apply this everywhere in charts which again start to spoil your method ...USE IT WHERE IT NEEDED ( Will explain it later where I use it
in trading)
In rally price making a pause and continue to move higher then low of a pause bar called aggressive pivot
In decline price making a pause and continue to move lower then high of a pause bar called aggressive pivot
Its better that pause bar will close opposite of rally/decline...though I only use this kind aggressive pivots

So if we have a possible pivot low bar then first we need one higher high and higher low bar it may be by after any number of bars without going new
lows ...then that HH-HL bar breaks up that possible pivot low is now real mPL
Vice versa for mPH...hope you got my point

Okey...now we go forward....How to find Visual pivots?We need visual pivots to find the trend ....
If after an mPL one higher mPH prints then that mPH breaks out lowest mPL becomes VPL
If after an mPH one lower mPL prints then that mPL breaks down highest mPH becomes VPH
confussed .... ...yes in words we always get confussed !!!!but in picture we get the point...

Here we got HH-HL mp's / LH-LL mp's ...but not VP's
For VP we must take out higher mph/Lower mpl

Okey We trade trend...so we need identification of trend...so we use these VP's for market trend..How?
As you now know whats this VP's ...now need to look where it happens ?
If we get Higher VPL & Higher VPH its UPTREND
If we get Lower VPL & Lower VPH its DOWNTREND
Its basic thing of UT & DT

Now we know minor pivots ,aggressive pivots,visual pivots and when can we call uptrend and downtrend......not ?then please again study what I
posted and try to mark these things in your charts...not in one chart go numbers of charts upto you confidence to find these pivots and trends without
any doubt ...like this one

Early Reversal Line -ERL
Whats this?
This is a line we draw at body high/low (VPH/VPL)when price go abv any VP and close some distance from that VP .(note there must be a trend
before)...This line will help us to early reversal area when trend is not ready to go.....:confuse:

Advanced traders draw ERL's every where from agg pvt to major pivots and take actions based those ERL's in trading .....also they use many
upgradation of Visual pivots for early entry ,sl,tsl etc...We here not look advanced parts and stick to basic VP's and ERL's on VP's only.Going forward
in future will introduce one more DVERL(Diagnol Visual Earlier Reversal Line) as this is one of good tool in some cases....but not now... when I see it
in live will explain it in live ...so don't confuse all ...you just need above visual ERL's for our trades as of now ....

One more thing which we can use in trading that Failures and Rejections of price at visual pivots ...as you start trading this method you will get hold
on that ....mostly its gives us a good trading setups....

Now how you trade market using these simple minor pivots,visual pivots,trends.ERL's?
We learnt UT is when we see higher high visual pivot high and higher low visual pivot lows,DT is when we see lower low pivot high and lower low
pivots lows
..in between areas we see as sideways .....
So in UT we look for go longs using minor pivots
in DT we look for go shorts using minor pivots
So if we in DT price reverse where we look for longs .....

1.pivot above ERL (though its not end of DT trend,but we try for early reversal)
2.Pivot above VPH -yes we we get pivot above VPH and break of that pivot means UT started
Here we not go long above VPH directly...Why? when breakout of VPH means DT in question ...we need proper set up to @ least a trend start...For
confirmed trend you allready know that we need HH VPH and HL VPL...here only have a VPL & VPH nothing,,,
Hope I explained it correctly ...otherwise you will get in chart what I tryed to explain

How we start the day?......................................
Vis UT yesterday afternoon then
1.Gap into range but above ERL

2.Gap above VPH
3.gap in to range and comes above yday high
4.gap beyond VPL
5.gap into range below ERL
6.gap beyond VPL and back into def area(ERL area)
7.gap beyond VPL and goes stright back to above VPH
Just some changes for if DT yesterday afternoon...
1.If gap below VPL then short 1st bar if its bearish or wait for minor pivot for short
2.gap into def area(erl area) ----Visual PH required for long or it has to come
back below VPL and trade back into def area then that pvt in def area can used
ALSO IF GAP INTO RANGE THEN WE NEVER GO LONG/SHORT DIRECTLY @ VP'S

Some other rules can use in trading....

1.When in big gaps/vertical moves can trade bothways on minor pivots upto price stabilise
2.Be carefull in sideways and not try to draw erls and get caught in whips
3.After a big fall/vertical move price most of times go to sideways infront of that big fall...so be carefull ....yuou will play ping pong
4.one can book profit if failures see at previous VPH/VPL,failures @ major SUP/RES areas,Hammers @ key areas...
Not coming all into my mind at now ...will give if any comes into my mind later

Now today before market open we need to finish all our study/plans (if any) ,draw major/key areas as SUP/RES and think where might our entries
coming etc....once market started we must go as mechanical ...nothing to rethink just do what we follow ...no research ,no if's....all the study of
todays trades and wrongs/rights all after market only.....

we got another lower mPH ..One can modify our entry above it...or stay with earlier...as this one like aggressive entry as we cant say its UT ...UT
start only after b/o of HOD
If we allready in UT then can take trade above this current mPH ...So its upto you take OR not

So we just following what learnt with peacefull mind ....nothing to look arround ...we take trades which market gives ...we have SL so we manage our
position size in entry...no need to panic etc in any type of market...stay calm ...

Now I move my TSL to big volume WRB bar low ...as its WRB and high volumes bar...

Now I think many confused about my TSL!!!!!!

WRB is always clear trend bar...we need to know if that WRB breaks opposit means trend is so weak...I trail my SL when WRB comes in trend ...first
move sl to below WRB and if any type pivot appears below 50% of WRB bar also move SL below it ....You can also backtest this thing to use it as your
rule too...as Intraday trades we need to exit if trend looks weaken....

Actually I am not a right person to give any answer, b'coz I am not a good trader.....when you use PDL PDH PDC BRN etc for your trading descision
point you should see the BOF, BPB, FTC, RT etc for entry setup, do not insist on pivot.....that is another thing as per my understanding (I may be
wrong....)

Yes ..you can take it ..but you need to make rules too...that will come only when you trade your method and look/observe what happens in that
ranges....
I too use it now days but for exits /move tsl...yesterday TSL is with 2 reason we got pivot (though our rulewise its not)below 50% WRB and it also
below PDH as rejection...even you can take trades in sideways using failure at those levels
But better develop it your own by observing those levels which I reco to all ...
One more thing is that if you are multi lot trader then these ranges are good place for partial booking profit

Why ST da telling NF is not giving trading opportunities these days ...look its hrly chart ...after gap/dn market stayes in range ...
one lot trader will feeling bored and also not getting much profits ...but multi trader might make some with part profit booking

What is DVERL(diagnol eraly reversal line)?

Look this current chart...I marked pink line connecting 2 VPH's ....here note these line shuold be below 45 degree then only can say DVERL....here if
price close abv DVERL then get pvt blw DVERL then we take short trade @ that mPL ....even one can trade failures on these DVERL...but backtest it
for your comforatble trades ....

Hope I had done what new traders want initially ....a method which they simply learn and can follow ,execute trades with confidently ..its helps to
grow as a trader...
If any newbie visit this thread just learn/understand minor pivots,visual pivots and trends...start trading simply and confidently....When you trade this
method atleast 6 months-one year with focus and error less execution am sure you are survive in this trading jungle...also you grow automaticly start
to introduce tweeks to early entry /exits etc your self without much outside help ...I too changed a lot trading this method continuesly found many
tweaks myself....
after understanding method ,backtest it as much as you can and few time paper trade it in live....before start live decide your Risk/trade so you can
only take trades which is under your risk...which kill your fear factor ...I reco minimum 2lot entry as 1 lot will be exit @ your initial risk other lot you
can leave for your sl/tsl....which helps to control your ego to do opposit
So I wish all the best who starting this method initially....
Many seniors in TJ traded this method and developed as a professional trader...
If any doubt you can ask here ...hope and sure you will get answer from anyone who knows this method...
and please don't complicate this method adding many new things atleast your initial stage...otherwise you never able to use it properly...

I had said earlier failures at VP's are good for trades means counter trend trades ...though you need to look for which setup is good for entry ...you
will start this thinking when you going forward trading this method.....just posting a image of today

Just read in an uptrend. A decline begins with high volumes and slowly volume dries up signifying the bulls are not capitulating. So when after coming
down with a high volume when volume dries up. Its time to get into the uptrend
Vice versa for down trend.

Thanks lemondew sharing your views on volumes...frankly I not much involved in volume learning....used to observe high volume bars to move my sl
which is given me good success..also used to enter in failures looking volume..other than I not used much it into my trading...though I am learning
OBV from varunji's thread ...please share other things about volume which you experienced ....it might help us all ....
