COURSEWORK 2 : GROUP WRITTEN ASSIGNMENT

BBDH2033 OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY & HEALTH

(i) Group Written Assignment (50%)

Students are required to summarise ONE chosen academic journal/research paper and submit a
written assignment of within 10-12 pages. The journal/research paper should be based on
Occupational, Safety and Health issues. Students are also required to write in their own words and
state their views on relevant occupational, safety & health issues relating to the journal/research
paper analysed. Analyse the chosen journal/research paper with the support of appropriate
literatures, organisational examples, relevant regulations and appropriate recommendations.

Instructions
1. Due date : Assignment to be submitted in Week 9.
2. Assignment is to be typed written and stapled neatly for submission.
3. Font Times New Roman, size 12 with 1.5 line spacing and written assignment should be
within 10-12 pages.
4. Cover Page – to include the title of the journal, student’s name and identity no., submission
date and lecturer/tutor’s name.
5. Page numbering to be placed center bottom of page.
6. All references to be indicated using TAR UC Harvard Referencing System.
7. Plagiarism is a serious offence. Please sign and attach the plagiarism statement together with
your coursework. A copy of the plagarism statement should also be included. Plagiarism and
copying from the work of other students are strictly prohibited. An assignment that is
suspected so will be subjected to further moderation.
8. A copy of the Turnitin report should also be included. A 15% duplication rate is permitted
excluding referencing. Plagiarism and copying from the work of other students are strictly
prohibited. An assignment that is suspected so will be subjected to further moderation. The
paper shall not be given any marks.
9. Deadline for submission of group assignment is to be strictly adhered to.
10. For late submission, there will be a reduction of absolute marks from the mark’s score
submitted:
 Late 1 to 3 days after deadline of submission: minus 10 marks;
 Late 4 to 7 days after deadline of submission: minus 20 marks;
 Late more than 7 days after deadline of submission: 0 marks
