“Stop letting people who do so little for you control so much of your

life.” – Will Smith

Life is an exciting journey that brings man to a roller coaster of great

moments of happiness and suddenly, to nights of sadness that will consume

all your bliss. Life always brings surprises for you. That’s why choosing well

the people you consider important in your life is just as important as eating

three times a day. Think it out? For the past days, have you been feeling so

lonely and stressed to the point that you already forgot how to sleep? Or

oftentimes you find yourself working so hard just to make someone happy

without noticing that it’s already a decade that you last felt true happiness.

You may be smiling while your heart is bleeding with nails and thumbtacks

pierced in it. God gave you eyes that are wide open so wake up! Your life

may be controlled by the wrong man. You may be doing so much for

someone who does so little for you.

Group 2

“Life isn’t how many breaths you take, it’s the moments that take your

breath away.” – Will Smith

Take time to collect moments instead of materials. We’ve been told a

million times! However people are hyenas in a desert. We are born greedy

thus oftentimes we work so hard to acquire things that will lift us high in

the eyes of other people. We find ourselves pulled down by a lot of work.

We often forget the true essence of life. Life is what you make it, indeed. It is

as moldable as clay therefore we should also be as wise as a great potter.

Knowing the true meaning of living is very important. Living is different

from not dying! Living is being happy. Living is enjoying moments with the

people you love. We can always take a family vacation to take rest and come

back home dead tired any day of the week or simply stay at home and

watch movies together with your loved ones. Anything will do, as long as

you take rest and enjoy moments together with the people you can’t live

without; that’s the true meaning of living.

Group 3

If you’re not making someone else’s life better, then you’re wasting your

time. Your life will become better by making others’ lives better.

– Will Smith

Making life better is arguably man’s greatest purpose . This purpose

pushes man to work beyond his limitations. There are even times when he

neeeds to hurt other people just to eleveate higher and most often than not,

he succeeds. However, “Is he successful?” is a big standing question. Maybe

yes because he’s already where he wants to be or maybe no because some

people suffered in exchange for his success. This question is as confusing as

a riddle yet the answer is just as easy as eating cupcake. We just need to

define success. What really is success then? Some may say succes is a dream

come true or success is being independent. For me, success is being able to

live a morally, spiritually and financially stable life all the while being a

blessing to other people. Gathering your own harvest by giving all that you

reap. This is true success. A man is considered bad for helping his friend get

a job, of cousrse that’s not realistic. A man is considered successful for

making other people suffer, isn’t also true. When I was young, I had to walk

ten hundred miles to school and had countless works at home, but I will

never try to hurt someone just to have a better life. That’s how we should all

strive for success.

Group 4
Don’t chase people. Be yourself, do your own thing and work had. The

right people, the ones who really belong in your life, will come to you and

stay. – Will Smith

It is easier said than done. Doing so is as difficult as walking on water.

The road to a successful relationship is dotted with many tempting parking

places. These parking places are like chocolate cakes – so hard to resist.

Some parking places are swamps disguising as springs. These temptations

block your way to the one destined for you. But how do you know that he’s

already the right one? This is a very important question that people leave

unanswered for centuries. The answer is, if he makes you a better person, if

he helps you reach your dreams, if he brings out the best in you, he’s the

one. But if he causes your face to burn red and explode in jealousy, or makes

your eyes pour a pale of tears every night, he’s just a wrong parking place.

Wake up! You don’t deserve that! You’re a precious creation of God. Don’t

be afraid to let go of excess baggage, they’ll pull you down. Don’t chase

people. Be yourself, do your own thing and work hard. The right people, the

ones who really belong in your life, will come to you and stay. Leave wrong

parking places waiting for nothing.

Group 5
“You’ll never be able to find yourself if you’re lost in someone else.”

–Colleen Hoover.

Love, care, belongingness – these are things that people are always

looking for. People desire to have someone who will love them, take care of

them and someone who belongs to them. That’s fine and good! This is man’s

most common way of searching for identity. When they find someone to

love, they feel like they’ve found themselves as well. Being loved is like a

taste of heaven on Earth, being cared is as delightful as bathing in a spring

of milk and honey and belonging to someone is like finding yourself.

However, it’s not always the case. Sometimes, finding yourself is losing your

true identity. You may be lost in someone else’s life to the extent that you

already lost control of your own. Our life is a ship that needs only one

captain. You alone can drive your course to success. Don’t let anyone take

over the wheels. Waves will slap you, storms will run over you, and the

touch of the sun will scorch your back, but that’s the beauty of life. You may

end up so rich that you’ll have all the money to buy a planet or be so poor

that you won’t even have two cents to rub together. Who cares? What

matters is you’re the one who made your life, you did your best and most

specially, you’re happy. You have nothing to regret. It’s better to fail driving

your own ship than succeed while sitting on someone else’s ship.

Group 6
“How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg? Four. Calling the

tail a leg doesn’t make it a leg.” – Abraham Lincoln

This is a very important concept that people fail to notice. Having a

powerful name has been as desirable as having world peace nowadays.

There’s nothing wrong in it. However there are times when the name is

given more importance than the role. It’s a cancer in many golden seats –

politics, businesses, entertainment, etc. Things therefore become worse,

instead of becoming better. People strive to get the name compromising the

skill set to play the role. The process is like a shark striving to be called

“King of the Open Air” even though it cannot fly . People get elected or

appointed in positions without having what it takes. These people are

termites that cause the weakening of our foundations. They are like stuffed

toys laid on golden chairs. This causes disasters: a fire station burns down, a

pilot with a fear of heights, a teacher fails in a test, a police station gets

robbed, and a marriage counselor filing for divorce. This has to stop! The

change should come from us. By simply refusing to accept positions that we

feel incapable of holding and giving it to someone deserving can make a

great difference. Just do good in what you do, we’ll all have our seats

someday – the ones which really belong to us, the ones we can handle well.

Then, we’ll have a very nice world to live in.
