The students will think read a myth entitled “The Origin of this World”. They
will then form a group of five and discuss their own understanding of the
Activity myth. They can also cite other stories that they have read about the origin
of the world and compare it to this myth. Two representatives from each
group will summarize their group’s output.

A myth is a folklore genre consisting of narratives that play a
fundamental role in society, such as foundational tales. It was the product
of man's emotion and imagination, acted upon by his surroundings. It often
consists of sacred narratives about gods.
Abstraction

human actions perceived or believed both by teller and listeners to have
taken place within human history. It is a story handed down through
generations which is believed to be historical. An example of legend is King
Arthur.
