Instructions Assemble Housings
N EVER REMOVE OR ADJUST ANY ENGINE 1. Clean housings and all parts in an approved cleaning

locknut.
4. Remove and discard engine brake housing gaskets and
rocker cover gaskets (22, 23). 5. Install new control valves, springs, covers, and retaining
rings.
6. Install original master pistons with new flat springs,

WHEN TIGHTENING SCREWS, BE SURE

HEREIN, AND JACOBS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY
SPECIAL, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

3. Hold the adjusting screw and torque the locknut to 25


lbft. (35 Nm).
4. Adjust the clearance on the remaining cylinders in firing
order.

Finish Engine Brake Installation


1. Attach the lead wires to the lead out assemblies on the
outside of the housings.
2. Install rocker lever gaskets and rocker lever covers;
tighten the screws.
