MARINE FACILITIES
LNG REGASIFICATION
Storage and reloading services are done on both short and long terms
LNG BUNKERING
LNG Bunkering is the practice of providing liquefied natural gas fuel to a ship for
its own consumption. It is this imposition of stricter sulphur content limits to
marine bunker fuel that is driving LNG Bunkering system design as well as the
construction of a LNG fuelling infrastructure.
LNG GASSING UP AND COOLING DOWN
Gassing up and cooling down is a specialized service to displace the inert gas from
the LNG vessel's storage tanks and it is cooled down to cryogenic temperature.
This facility is available in the terminal for transporting LNG by cryogenic tankers
under the trade name TARAL GAS
SCREW COMPRESSOR
There is a two stage screw compressor with a pressure outlet of 8.7kg/cm2. The
entire plant has supply of plant air and instrument air. Instrument air is dry air and
is used in the operation of valves, while plant air contains moisture content.
FLARE
Flare stacks are primarily used for burning off flammable gas released by pressure
relief valves during unplanned over-pressuring of plant equipment.
BOG (Boil of Gas) TREATMENT
BOG refers to the gas vapours which are formed above the surface of LNG in the
storage tanks. These vapours if not treated causes cyclic conversion of LNG in the
tank to vapours which is undesired
BOOST COMPRESSOR
Boost compressor is used to increase the pressure of BOG discharged from BOG
compressor up to the terminal send out heads pressure
Three stage operation
Reciprocating type compressor
7733kg/hr capacity
Motor speed - 425rpm
