ABSTRACT

Title: FACTORS OF SUDDEN CHANGE IN MOOD OF THE RTU SENIOR HIGH


SCHOOL STUDENTS

This study attempted to identify the FACTORS OF SUDDEN CHANGE IN MOOD


OF THE RTU SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, and to determine their
relationships among variables. Specifically, it endeavors to answer the following sub-
problems: 1.) What is the profile of the respondents in terms of the following: a. Age, b.
Gender, c. Strand or Course (STEM, ABM and HUMMS). 2.) What are the factors of
sudden change in mood? 3.) Why do we need to study human behavior? 4.) What are
the causes of sudden change in mood? 5.) How to overcome sudden change of mood?

The respondents of this study encompassed of 100 Senior High School Students
of Rizal Technological University.

The descriptive method was employed to know the present existing condition.
Added to that, the instrument used to attain the data pertinent to this study was survey
questionnaire designed to assess relevant information. The data gathered were
statically treated to facilitate interpretation with the use of frequency and percentage
formula.

On the basis of the study, the following were the findings and conclusions: 1.) Majority
of the respondents are female while for age, all the respondents belong to 15 – 17 and
for the majority of strand, come from HUMMS. 2.) The main causes of sudden change
in mood are: a. Stress in studies, b. Family problem, c. moody. The respondents
recommend based on the following conclusions: (a) Be kind to others, (b) Be polite, (c)
Be open minded, (d) Share your problem, Think Positive, and Read books and (e) Be
patient and be nice. For school administrators, provide more trainings and seminars to
better understand change of mood and how to overcome them. For parents, they should
guide and monitor the children’s behavior and attitude.
