D1 - Different Spaces Between Sets of Windows
be highlighted below.
4.1 Floors
The assumed floor slab type for SDE2 is Waffle Slab. However, we were unable to replicate the
uniqueness of the slab and have thus replaced it with a flat slab. Measurement of the displaced
concrete due to waffle pod formwork will be deducted from the main volume of concrete in final
BQ.
The flooring for the lift well had been left empty on purpose as floor slab should not exist across
the pit.
4.2 External Walls
The spaces (for column) in between every set of windows are not uniform. As we were only able
to do measurement within the building to estimate the length of the exterior walls, there might
have been some measurement inaccuracy that led to space difference between each set of
windows. (See appendix D1) On site measurement for columns would be 585mm, but
measurement varies in the BIM model as bigger emphasis was placed in getting the correct
amount of windows placed in the model.
4.3 Windows
The standard window (Appendix C1) is slightly different from the family loaded into revit in 3
areas. Firstly, the top hung windows are fixed in the model. Secondly, the windows in the model
are standalone instead of being fitted into a main frame as per site condition. Lastly, we were
unable to control the thickness of the window and its frame, which causes the window to
protrude out on one side as the window type is different.
4.4 Doors
There is a small viewing error for the front glass doors and CIBEST BE HUB Centre. The
handles of the doors are not shown in 3D view but visible in elevation view. (Appendix D2)
