Kalidasa- a Sanskrit poet and dramatist is probably the greatest Indian


writer.

Confucius- was China’s most famous teacher, philosopher and political


theorist, whose ideas have influenced all civilizations of East Asia.

Matsuo Basho- is regarded as the greatest haiku poet. He was born into a
samurai family and began writing poetry at an early age.
