At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

B. Infer feelings and traits of characters in a story read (EN4RC-If-25)
C. Use the cases of pronouns effectively (EN10G-IIIa-31)

1. Before Reading
Teacher asks students who are about their favorite characters. Teacher asks why those
characters are their favorites.
2. During Reading
Activity #1: Reading: Linda’s Dad
Teacher hands out the story “Linda’s Dad”. Students answer the worksheet correctly.
Process students’ output
3. After Reading
Activity #2: Share It! – Reading Check-up
Students share their answers to the class
PROCESS QUESTIONS:
o Based on the text, would you consider Linda an active or a timid type of
person? Why?
o What about her dad? What characteristics does the father have?
o If you were Linda, what sports would you like to learn?

Activity #3: Q & A – Cases of Pronouns
A. Underline the pronoun in each question.
B. Identify the case of pronoun by encircling it.
1. Linda’s dad is a baseball coach. He teaches his team how to play. (nominative,
objective possessive)
2. Her dad always teaches the players to play fair. (nominative, objective, possessive)
3. The baseball players learn baseball from their coach. (nominative, objective,
possessive)
4. The tennis ball must stay inside the lines. If it goes out of the lines, the other player
gets a point. (nominative, objective, possessive)
5. You, as a Ping-pong player, can not double-bounce the ball. (nominative, objective,
