Chapter 2 Methodology of the Study(Software Engineering Paradigm)

Waterfall Model

Feasibility Study- analysis that takes all of a project's relevant factors into
account including economic, technical, legal, and scheduling considerations to
ascertain the likelihood of completing the project successfully. Project managers
use feasibility studies to discern the pros and cons of undertaking a project before
they invest a lot of time and money into it.

Requirement Analysis and specification- process of determining user
expectations for a new or modified product. must be quantifiable, relevant and
detailed.

Design and Specification- A contractor must adhere to the design specifications

as well as standard best practice in order to deliver a finished product that meets
the client's requirements.

Coding- it has to do with computers and they process the information we see.
However, you may not have much more than this vague understanding of the
concept

Testing- to evaluate the functionality of a software application with an intent to

find whether the developed software met the specified requirements or not and to
identify the defects to ensure that the product is defect free in order to produce the
quality product.

Maintenance- Performed to keep some machine or system functioning or in

service work of keeping in proper condition

the methodology use for Developing this system is Waterfall model .it is
challenge creating this system start from zero (0)/prototype to fully function
system that can help the client Business to easy there work progress. Encounter
some problem while developing the system and use everything I know to fix that
and ask for some help to my classmate. The system is easy to use and to adapt

Chapter 3 Data Gathering procedures and output (Define requirements of software)

By Visiting the salon to gather information asking some of the staff,

manager ,guest/Customer some question. gather as much reliable data needed
for the system to Implement and later choose the best materials base on the
data gather

Use Three different method to gather some information possible needed

for the system to be implemented

 Interview – Interviewing the Staff, Guest, Manager to

gather some information in salon by asking some question
to be implement to the system

Salon Reservation System Page 4

 Observation – by observing there work place knowing
what needed to improve
 Evaluation – for evaluation gathering some Information to
identifies the requirement needed for the system

As the data gather knowing what to apply to system .to see what the developer
should do and what the next move

Chapter4 Documentation of the current system

The company/business didn’t use any system in listing the orders of the
customer, she just wrote the orders in a paper. didn’t used the system that
calculates the sales, instead she used a calculator. records the customer’s order
and lists it manually on papers to have records of their transaction then filed it in a
cabinet, this will serve as a reference in making sales reports
