1. Paquibato District will hold the 2019 MAPEH Festival of Talents with a theme: “ Enhancing
Talents and Skills Through Music” on Friday, November 29, 2019 at A.L. Navarro Central Elem.
School.

DRUM AND LYRE
Mechanics and Guidelines

1. One entry for every line.


2. Each entry shall be composed of 15-50 members.
3. Music shall be FREE CHOICE.
4. Five to ten (5-10) minute presentation will be rendered by each competitor including
entrance and exit.
5. Judges decision is final and irrevocable.
Criteria:

 Music (Clarity and Harmony) – 40%


 Formation and Choreography - 30%
 Props and Costume - 10%
 General Impact – 20%

UKULELE
Mechanics and Guidelines

1. Each entry is composed of 5 to 15 members and 1 teacher as conductor.


2. Performers will play two songs; any song as warm-up and paru-parong bukid as the contest
piece.
3. Performance should last with the minimum of 3 minutes and 5 minutes at the maximum
including entrance and exit.
4. Back up performers are not allowed.

GUITAR and VOCAL COMPETITION


Mechanics and Guidelines
1. Each entry shall be composed of 1 guitarist who shall play the music in “picking/plucking style”
and 1 vocalist.
2. The performers will play any OPM song.
3. The duration of each performance must be 3-5 minutes only, including entrance and exit.
4. The guitarist must bring his/her own acoustic guitar with or without pick-up sound connector/
cords.
5. Back up performers are not allowed.
6. The decision of the Board of Judges is final and irrevocable.
 Tone Quality - 25%
 Musicality - 25%
 Musicianship (skills) - 30%
 Artistry - 20%

Chachacha DANCE COMPETITION
Mechanics and Guidelines
1. Each entry shall compose of 1 pair.
2. Performers will execute basic steps of Cha-cha-cha dance with a time allotment of 90 seconds
or 1 minute and a half.
3. They will dance for Round 1 with their chosen music. For round 2, all entries will dance with
one music chosen by the committee.
5. Appropriate costume should be worn during the contest.
6. Performers will be rank by pair.
