5. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
5.1 When the unit is not running, do not open the valve of feed pump.
5.2 Do not allow system-operating pressure to exceed 250 PSI. It may
damage RO membrane. System should be operated between 220 to 230
PSI
5.3 Do not feed hard water of hardness more then 17 PPM to system because
it results in scale formation on RO membrane. (This happens when
softener ran out)
5.4 During operation noise level of RO pump reaches as high as 88d.
Therefore operator must use earplugs.
5.5 Make sure all electrical systems are properly grounded. Follow up
electrical rules.

6. PROCEDURE
6.1 Check valves of sand filter carbon filter, and softener to see if they are in
correct position. Open 3, 8, 12, and 21 if softener no 1 is running and
open 3, 8, 16, and 13 if softener no 2 is running.
6.2 Open drain valve at product line for initial flushing.

system.
6.8 The system operating pressure gauge should show some reading. Use
rejection control valve to adjust the pressure to 220 psi. (Note:- Never
allow system-operating pressure to exceed 250 psi).
6.9 Using reject control valve, make sure that system operating pressure
remain 220 psi, because it keep changing during first 10 minutes of
operation.
6.10 After three minutes of flushing open product line valve to under ground
storage tank and close drain valve of product line.
6.11 To shut down the system first shut down RO unit and then close valve of
