With my current experience as software engineer, I wish to expand my technical knowledge of Computer science and want to focus towards its huge applications in today’s world. Let me introduce myself, I am Ahmed Shahid and currently working as a Software Engineer (iOS developer) at TPL Corp. I have completed my BS in Computer Science from Department of Computer Science, University of Karachi.
Holding a Bachelor’s degree and more than 2.5 years of experience in software industry gives me the ability to work on various systems. The degree taught me multiple advanced courses like Programming Languages, Data Structures, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Database, topics related to Data Sciences, Computer Graphics, Algorithm Analysis and Design, which provided me with a strong grip on the theoretical concepts of Computer Science.
While in professional career, I’ve been a part of some large mobile apps projects and played key role on these projects (please find project details on my resume). Main area of my work includes mobile phone base tracking and analytics, financial apps which include wallet and virtual currency and some entertainment apps
With the drastic evolution of technology, you have to keep yourself up to date to stay in the game. Everything is moving towards automation, use of AI and ML even for small systems is getting mandatory. Jobs like support or administration are being replaced by bots. This degree will surely help me to learn emerging topics of CS more deeply and allow me to implement my creative ideas. The subjects offered in this program are specifically in line with my professional goals. Course related to AI, ML and Data Science are the most enticing.
My ambition to study in Germany stems from a dearth of higher education programs
offered in Pakistan. I’m unable to find a suitable degree program that coincides with my aspirations and technical expertise. Country like Germany is the most suitable place to conduct your research and get hands-on experience on latest technologies. Furthermore, Germany’s geographical location and current economic strength attracts industry experts from around the world. With the notion of idea-sharing in mind, this would be a perfect ground to contribute to this world and to establish the next step of my professional career.
I am certain that the knowledge and skills I learnt from my degree, professional experience, and extracurricular activities would make me an eligible candidate for the Masters of Computer Science program offered at Technische Universität Berlin.
