Firstly, I would like to show my deepest gratitude to TH Koln for allowing me to take
part in the selection process. I am Muhammad Kazim, a fresh graduate from Iqra
University, Pakistan having two years of freelance experience. I would be very kind to
request your permission to review further information for myself to be considered as a
student for a Master’s degree in TH Koln. Kindly grant me to briefly elaborate the
reasoning of my request.
Since I want to dig more in what I studied in bachelor of Computer Science, I would like
to conduct a Master of Information Systems as preferred. I’m keen in studying
Information systems as data and its processes are essential part of future. I consider
that I can get valuable knowledge about the factor of its development now and in
upcoming years. And I also believe the course will give me the opportunity to deepen
my knowledge about information collection, storage and process.
This course offers everything I need to become an expert in this field of information
system. The program is taught in English and through collaboration between academics
with world-class expertise in diverse aspects of Information systems and gives students
an opportunity to learn about a future in communication technology, and their
application. Furthermore, the outline of this program provides a balance between
technical analysis including cost-benefit analyses and strategic concepts, and IT
infrastructure. Also, the master offers broad courses, such as data mining and project
management.
In my university years, I was active in my program. I was a high achiever and learnt
the core of programming along with skills of project management. I learnt further when
I started my first job for one of Cities biggest freelancing firm, Prime squad as
developer. Working with this company gave me many important insights on the
importance of delivering high-quality product/software. This was very rewarding as it
led me to gain a grant for my master’s sponsorship and research on DNA storage. This
research aimed that how DNA storage will be the future of data storage.
I was involved in some experience such as supervising final year project of juniors and
was involved in some voluntary experiences such WIH(voluntary action to make an
environment clean based on robotics), as a developer. By taking this Master’s course I
hope I can deepen my knowledge, improve the quality of my work and continue my
contribution for my country.
TH Koln is also known as one of the best for its specializations in information systems,
which means that I will be taught by top researchers and experts. Studying in your
university also offers opportunities for professional networking, and will be my
collaboration partner in the future. This will bring me to the greatness of Pakistan’s
industry. Pursuing a Master’s degree in TH Koln will not only help me to gain better
knowledge, but also to open my vision more about developing field of computer science
in a global perspective. I can fit with this program considering my background study,
my life experiences, my maturity, my passion and two years of freelance.
At the end of my study, I believe that I can contribute to the professional industry of
Pakistan. I will teach at the NED University after masters. At the same time, I have a
dream to be a director of Pakistan’s IT department. Hopefully, with suitable courses
that fit with my interest and prior education, my study in TH Koln would lead me into a
brighter future to give a valuable contribution to Germany as well as permanently
Pakistan.
Lastly, allow me to express that I do strongly believe that I deserve to be in the list of
master degree student from this respectful institution to continue my study in Cologne.
