As we approach to the end of this academic year and our 50 years of

service towards providing quality education since our inception in 1993,
we take this opportunity to thank the Almighty Lord for his abundant
blessings and guidance from our teachers, parents, students, and well
wishers.

There is a great saying: “Real education fetches you more than a job. It
teaches you to live. It cannot be measured in any tangible way.

As we share the yearly updates of our activities, we take the modesty

to say that we did our best to do as we had planned and we are proud
of our students and teachers who strive hard to achieve beyond
expectations. We have focused on the holistic development of the
students.
On this special occasion of our 13th Annual Day celebration, I am
delighted to present the Annual Report for the academic year 2016-17.
Our endeavors have always been to strive for excellence in all that we
do and will continue to do so.

Continuous assessment enables us to identify the skills in which the
child has mastered and where he needs help. These are discussed with
the parents individually. Evening classes are conducted for students
who need help. Students with learning difficulties are identified by
teachers and parents of these students are guided on the course of
action to be taken and are referred for professional assessment. Our in
house special educator also helps these students with remedial classes
during school hours and on Saturdays. I thank Ms. Janice Shiji of Madras
Christian College and Ms. Jayanthi of DKS learning Centre for providing
us support in these areas, and also for the workshop on “how to
overcome learning difficulty” for our staff.

All primary students have library, music, art, craft and drawing classes
every week to enrich their creative mind. Value education and physical
education are also an integral part of our curriculum and are conducted
twice a week for all students and are handled by our trained staff.

Students are encouraged to write National Olympiads, IAIS, an

international exam and spell bee.

We are blessed with a team of dedicated teaching and non-teaching

staff who are the pillars of success of our School. To strengthen them
we conduct regular orientation classes and provide them with
opportunities to attend seminars and workshops. These enrich the
teachers with modern techniques of teaching and evaluation and to
familiarize them with the latest developments in the field of education.
