CASE STUDY
Raju and Kirti have been friends since their school days. After completion of their college
education, Raju ( son of businessman ) joined his there's business CDB firm and Kirti
completed his CA and joined a well known accounting firm KPL Associates. Being good
in his job, kirti slowly established a name for himself in the business circles.
Meanwhile, under Raju, CDB firm started growing and went to become a large
organisation. CDB firm was looking for competent accountants to fill up two vacancies.
Tina ( another competent charted accountant ) and Kirti were short listed and finally hired
by the CDB firm. Like a lot of successful professionals, both Kirti and Tina were
confident about themselves and also about giving their best to the organisation.
After some time, to keep pace with the organisation growth, CDB firm went on to bring
about new team structure changes. One day the General Manager (HRD) Shirish and
"Last week, a new approach was created for the AD Audit because it was felt that we
didn't have much experience with that type of audit. Tina has responded very well to the
changed procedure, but Kirti seems not to be very happy about them. In a short time, he's
gone from being one of the most pleasant employees to being very difficult to get along
with. At times some of subtle ways of managing people surprise me. We have employees
facing the same set of circumstances and yet get such very different reaction from them. I
simply don't understand why there exist differences in behaviour among such employees.
What should I do?"
Main Problem
Tina has responded very well to the changed procedure but kirti seems not to be very
happy about them.
Alternative Solutions
One has to careful not to disagree with the employees so they have to build a good
relationship.
Encouraging and understanding the people in the organisation and training them to solve
their problems properly.
One has to be careful that no one outside will know about the incident in the organisation
therefore, there has to be affecting among the workers about the organisation.
Main Solution
Tina and Kirti both are work on same position but after a while the organisation grew
Shirish gets the chance to get Raju. Shirish meets the when it has been created a new
approach for AD Audit was last week because we did not experience that type of Audit
too much. Then he says that Tina has reacted well to this but Kirti has not responded well.
It appears at this point that Shirish has tried to disagree with Tina and Kirti.
Not to mention that Tina responded well and that Kirti did not respond well that she could
not respond as much as she did, but did not give trying to respond.
Implementation
Training: -
If the employees do not have experience about the work, if you do not know about the
work, then call outside experts and provide information about it.
Communication: -
If the employees is in communication with each other inside, the work can be completed
in systematic way and being in constant contact one another will never discriminate.
QUESTIONS
If I were Raju I would have said to Shirish that our organisation is a family and we are all
member of this family if anyone is at fault you have to explain and you have to
understand them.
Accepting the responsibility of all employees are at fault I will good advice then the
continue their work properly and always be careful not to make mistake in future.
Summary
The case involved 4 people's that is Raju, Kirti, Shirish, Tina, Raju and Kirit have been
friends since their school days. After their compilation of their college education Raju
manages his father's business and the same way Kirti also completes CA and work as an
Accountant in a reputed organisation Kirti slowly established a name for herself in the
business circles. Similarly Raju's organisation is increase then that organisation needs two
CA after in the organisation both Kirti and Tina recruited as a CA and few days Shirish
gets chance to meet Raju Shirish talks about Tina and Kirti while talking about AD Audit
Tina has responded very well to the changed procedure but Kirti seems not to be very
about them then Raju says that I don't understand why exist differences in behaviour
among such employees.
