1. The science lesson plan covers weathering as an exogenic process, with objectives for students to define, describe, and observe how weathering happens in the environment. 2. Activities include a picture analysis activity, a student report on the weathering process, and a supplemental discussion on weathering. 3. Formative assessment questions address the different types of weathering and how rocks change after weathering, with additional questions on soil erosion.

Schedule HUMSS 1 8:40 – 9:30
HUMSS 2 10:50 – 11:40

I.OBJECTIVES
A. CONTENTSTANDARD
The learners demonstrate an understanding of geologic processes that occur on
the surface of the Earth such as weathering, erosion, mass wasting, and
sedimentation.
B. PERFORMANCE
STANDARD The learners shall be able to make a report on how rocks and soil move downslope
due to the direct action of gravity.

C. LEARNING The learners shall explain how the products of weathering are carried away by
COMPETENCIES erosion and deposited elsewhere. (S11/12ES-Ib-12).
(Write the LC Code for each)
