Counseling is a professional relationship that empowers diverse


individuals, families, and groups to accomplish mental health,
wellness, education, and career goals. The primary goal of
counseling is to help people utilize their prevailing social skills and
problem solving skills more functionally, or to cultivate new
surviving and coping skills.
