    To Whom It May Concern:

    It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Jesse Thompson. I have observed Jesse as his Colorado
    State University coach during student teaching. Mr. Thompson is teaching English 9 as well as observing some A.P.
    Classes as a student teacher this semester. Jesse took the time and initiative first semester to prepare for his
    assignment, and because of this, was able to help teach classes on the very first day. Mr. Thompson carried this
    commitment throughout the semester, making his student teaching a very positive experience for the students through
    his planning, relationships, and professionalism.

    Jesse is an excellent teacher because of his organization, planning and willingness to collaborate. Every lesson is
    well developed, standards based, and detailed, which allows Mr. Thompson to make adjustments during the lesson. He
    is also extremely organized which helped set a routine for his classes. He is always asking questions and checking for
    understanding to make sure the students are grasping the key concepts. He combines this data with summative
    assessments to further gauge the student learning in his class. Jesse is very committed to giving students the best
    possible instruction that he can.

    The final pieces for Mr. Thompson are his professionalism and relationship building skills. You never have to
    worry about him being professional; he is always prompt, prepared, and enthusiastic about teaching. Jesse also
    possesses the essential ability to build relationships with both peers and students. He is part of our Language Arts
    department and is constantly engaged in conversations about best practices. Students are willing to participate in
    discussions and group projects because they feel that Mr. Thompson’s classroom is a safe place to share their thoughts
    and ideas. His relationships with students are always appropriate and supportive at the same time. Students feel
    willing and able to talk with him but are also aware that he is the adult. Professionalism and relationships will make
    Jesse a great addition to any staff.

    Jesse Thompson is an excellent teacher, and an even better individual, who will add to any school and department
