Digestive Diseases & Leaky Gut 
Digestive diseases are any disease that affect any part of your digestive tract.
Your digestive tract includes your mouth, throat, esophagus, stomach, small
intestine, colon (large intestine), rectum, and anus.

Leaky gut is one of the most common digestive diseases and is a condition
that happens as a consequence of intestinal tight junction malfunction.
These “tight junctions” are the gateway between your intestines and what is
allowed to pass into the blood stream.  Your tight junctions keep things out

throughout the thirty days and begin to transform our health from the inside out.  

Nutrition (which we will talk more about in step 3), exercise, rest, and stress
management are all important factors to maintain a healthy lifestyle.  However there are
stressors to our body that even we can’t control that require immediate action. Toxins!
Our bodies are in toxic overload.  Did you know we are exposed to more toxins in one
week than our grandparents were in one year?  We can control some things in our
homes such as switching to natural personal care products and cleaning products made
from essential oils.  Realistically though we can’t live at home 24/7 so naturally we are

     In this step are my three suggested food lifestyle changes and what each

Ketogenic

So many have experienced so much change in their health by following this


plan. Keto is short for Ketosis.  When following the Ketogenic lifestyle the
main goal is to get our bodies into a state of ketosis. Ketosis is a metabolic
state when our body burns ketones (fat) rather than glucose (sugar) for
energy.   Since carbohydrates break down(17)

On this lifestyle plan you consume equal amounts (33% each) of clean
protein sources, healthy fats, and low glycemic carbohydrates in the forms of
fruits and vegetables.

Eat organic and clean!  Pay attention to the type of
meats you are consuming.  Make sure everything is
grass fed! Eat vegetables that are high in fiber and
low on the glycemic index such as
asparagus, broccoli, brussel sprouts, green beans,
cauliflower and spinach. Enjoy fruits such as
strawberries, blueberries and raspberries but avoid
or eat in moderation fruits like bananas, mangos

The Elimination Diet is an effective yet lesser known way to find out what foods your
body doesn't agree with.  Do you feel painfully bloated or have other digestive issues
after eating?  Do you have skin related problems such as eczema, rashes or chicken
skin? Most times the root cause for these issues is a common food allergy. An
elimination diet is a short-term eating plan that eliminates certain foods that may be
causing allergies and other digestive reactions – then reintroduces the foods one at a

time in order to determine which foods are, and are not, well-tolerated.    The
Elimination diet cuts out the more common food allergens: gluten, dairy, soy,
refined/added sugar, peanuts, corn, alcohol, hydrogenated oils, citrus fruits, eggs and
packaged/processed foods.  Keep your meals at 40% vegetables, 30% protein, 20%
healthy fats and 10% whole food carbohydrates. After the 30 days (or up to 6 weeks)
of eliminating these foods, you then reintroduce one by one.

been there!   I know exactly what it feels like.
