Motorola PCS (Personal Communications Sector) wanted a global platform for the management and deployment of product information,
content and end–user functionality, via the World Wide Web. The Awareness Portal, which enforces consistent look and feel across the
globe, was built to cater to those needs and as an instance of the solution for the problems faced by them. Awareness is a data driven
multi-lingual web site, which allows business users to make changes to the sites content without any IT involvement. A mere change in
the Motorola’s Enterprise Content Management System – OneSource would fit the bill. This, in turn, changes the contents in the SQL
Server Content Database. Awareness thus helps Motorola to separate out Content from functionality and to enable Business users to
change content and look & feel without much IT involvement. This website can be browsed through web at www.hellomoto.com
