User Guide
This platform allows customers of the bank to pay tax transactions using internet banking.
1.1. On transfers menu click ERCA Tax Payment as shown in the figure below

1.2. On the page that is displayed, enter your document reference number. If you want to
pay partial tax, enter the amount you wanted to pay in Tax amount field. N.B. The
amount you enter should be less than the tax amount. If you want to pay in full,
leave the tax amount field as it is. Then click “Submit” button. See the Below

1.3. After submitting, you will see the below page. Make sure the amount and other
information are correct and click confirm to commit the transaction as shown below.

1.5. Now the system commits the transaction and your transaction reference is shown.

2. View NBE status of paid tax transaction (Corporate inputter)
2.2. NBE status of all paid taxes are presented as shown below
Note!
If NBE’s status is
RJCT – it means the transaction is rejected by NBE. Communicate your branch
and repay the bill.
WACK – within 10 - 20 minutes the status is supposed to be changed to either
ACK or RJCT. If the status remains WACK after 10 - 20 minutes
o Communicate your branch to know the actual status of the transaction.
o Check the account statement periodically. If the transaction is reversed, it
means the transaction is rejected by NBE, therefore the bill has to be
repaid. Communicate your branch.

3. Authorize tax transaction (Corporate authorizer)
Note: All transactions created today should be authorized today! If you authorize
a transaction that is created days before today, it will be rejected by NBE.

3.2. Up on clicking authorize button, the following page is presented. Click “Authorise”
button to authorize the record.
