Answer
1-The important thing about Architectural plan is to determine the wet area, dry
area and the dangerous area ((Flammable, caution area) for protection and
distribution of devices.
2- The meaning of Electrical circuit represents the electronics devices on the plan.
3-Classification of Electrical circuit: there are 2 types (single-line and multi-line).
4- Single line diagram represents the electronic circuit, which is used in the whole
plan.
5- The meaning of Multi line diagram is used to represent the electronic circuit as
single line diagram but it has the specific sign and illustrate the amount of lines
that were used. Normally, this diagram should be drawn in a part of the whole
structure.
6- The meaning of develop line diagram is to indicate the differences between the
lines’ surface and prepare in charged book.

2- Alternative Current (AC) is the electric current that change the direction in
the nominated period.
3- the designation between DC and AC

4- The important thing of Three System instead of Single phase are:

 Can carry the high electric power
 Economic reason in comparison to Single phase
 Stay constantly and stability
 High ration of transforming power.
5- The meaning of electric plug (connection) is to connect two or more electric
cable together. The good electric plug must connect carefully and toughly to
make sure that it should not lose more energy.
6- Grounding system is a type of cable that they use to transfer tension to the
ground.
This system is necessary to protect and prevent the building from any issues.
Moreover, the installation should be considered the tension reflection to
user’s electronics devices.
chapter 3
1-Why we need to classify distribution electrical system?
2-What is the role of switchgear?
3-What does it call disconnector switch?
4-What does it call Circuit Breaker?
5-What does it call Contactor?
6-What does it call Fuse?
Answer
1- we need to classify distribution electrical system
2- Switchgear is composed of electrical disconnect switches, fuses or circuit
breakers used to control, protect and isolate electrical equipment.
3- Disconnector switch is used to ensure that an electrical circuit is completely
de-energized for service or maintenance.
4- Circuit Breaker is an automatically operated electrical switch designed to
protect an electrical circuit from damage caused by excess current from an
overload or short circuit. Its basic function is to interrupt current flow after a
fault is detected.
5- Contactor is an electrically-controlled switch used for switching an electrical
power circuit.
6- Fuse is a small, thin conductor designed to melt and separate into two pieces
for the purpose of breaking a circuit in the event of excessive current.
chapter 4
1-What does it call one way switch and where we can use it?
2-What does it call two way switch and where we can use it?
3How many kind of two way switch?
4-What does it call three way switch and where we can use it?
5-What does it call four way switch and where we can use it?
6-What does it call Plug and where we can use it?
Answer
1- One-way switch is a type of electric circuit that is used to turn on/off the
currant at one certain place. Generally, it is used in normally situation such
as living room or kitchen.
2- Two-way switch is a type of electric circuit that is used to control only one
electronic device by using two different location of switches.
3- Two-way switch has three types:
 Type 1: A device has 2 different switches (bedroom).
 Type 2: A device is controlled by 2 different switches which are set a far
away from each other or different floor.
 Type 3: Controlling a device within different currant intensity to make its
light being more or lower brightness. Normally, it is used in spacious
room or living room.
4- Three-way switch is a common type of light switch that makes it possible to
control a ceiling light or other electrical fixture from two different locations
in a room. This type of switch is used generally at hallway, basement or
living room.
5- Four-way switch is used to control lighting from three or more
locations. Four-way switches are used in combination with three-way
switches. It is used normally in a large hall which is easy to control.
6- Plug is a small plastic object with two or three metal pins that fit into the
holes of an electric outlet and connects the equipment to the electricity
supply. Normally, plug is used in the place that has some electronic devices.
chapter 5
1-What is the meaning of Automation?
2-Why we have main and control circuit to run the motor?
3-What is the important of Contactor on the control circuit?
4-What is the important of thermal Relay on the control circuit?
5-What is the function of Normal Open and Normal closed switch?
6-What is the role of Emergency Bouton?
Answer
1- Automation is the creation of technology and its application in order to
control and monitor the production and delivery of various goods and
services.
2- We have main and control circuit to run the motor for starting and stopping
the motor, selecting forward or reverse rotation, selecting and regulating the
speed, regulating or limiting the torque, and protecting against overloads and
electrical faults.
3- The important of Contactor on the control circuit is used for high power
applications. They allow a lower voltage and current to switch a much
higher power circuit, so they are generally larger and more heavy-duty than
control relays, enabling them to switch higher power loads on and off for
many thousands of cycles.
4- The important of thermal Relay on the control circuit is to prevent the motor
from drawing excessive current which is harmful to motor insulation. It is
connected either directly to motor lines or indirectly through current
transformers.
5- The function of Normal Open and Normal closed switch
Normally open - Is a contact that does not flow current in its normal state.
Energizing it and switching it on will close the contact, causing it to allow
current flow.
Normally closed - Is a contact that flows current in its normal state.
6- The role of Emergency Bouton is a fail-safe control switch that provides
both safety for the machinery and for the person using the machinery.
The purpose of the emergency push button is to stop the machinery
quickly when there is a risk of injury or the workflow requires stopping.
chapter 6
1-What is the meaning of general rule of Electrical Installation?
2-What is the meaning of rule of division electrical circuit?
3-Why we determine the number of electrical circuit?
4- What is the meaning of division electrical equipment?
5-Why we have selectivity of protection?
6-Why we need Electrical Diagram in household?
Answer
1- The meaning of general rule of Electrical Installation……………..
2- The meaning of rule of division electrical circuit
 First rule: The lighting is distributed reference between several circuits of
meme for the sockets.
 Second rule: The circuits are specialized according to the devices they
serve and these circuits each have distorted protection.
 Third rule: The number of light points or sockets 10 / 16A on the same
circuit must not exceed 8.
3- We determine the number of electrical circuit to prevent injury such as
anyone with experience dealing with electricity knows that accidents can
happen and people can get hurt.
4- The meaning of division electrical equipment is to indicate its capacity and
consider which type of equipment can be used due to different conditions for
making sure that it will be safe for user.
5- We have selectivity of protection because the protective devices will
minimize effect of a short circuit or other undesirable event on
the power system. The amount of the power system that must be shut down
in response to the event is kept to the absolute minimum.
6- we need Electrical Diagram in household to organize the circuits in the
correct way and to determine tension, voltage or puissant intensity of the
building. Electrical wiring diagrams can help technicians anticipate areas of
the building that might have the potential for injury.
chapter 7
1-Why we think about habilitation on household?
2-What does it call direct contact?
3-What does it call indirect contact?
4-The function of Earth leakage Circuit Breaker?
5-When we use TT or TN (Neutral System)?
6-Between TT and TN which one needed on use on household? Why?
Answer
1- We think about habilitation on household because …………
2- Direct contact refers to a person coming into contact with a conductor which
is live in normal circumstances
3- Indirect contact refers to a person coming into contact with any part of
a electric circuit which is not normally live, but has become live due to an
accidental insulation failure or some other fault.
4- The function of Earth leakage Circuit Breaker to prevent injury to humans
and animals due to electric shock.
5- When we use TT or TN (Neutral System)
The TT system:

 Technique for the protection of persons: the exposed conductive parts are
earthed and residual current devices (RCDs) are used
 Operating technique: interruption for the first insulation fault

The TN system:

 Technique for the protection of persons:

 Interconnection and earthing of exposed conductive parts and the neutral
are mandatory
 Interruption for the first fault using overcurrent protection (circuit-
breakers or fuses)
 Operating technique: interruption for the first insulation fault

6- We need TN system to use on household because this system can protect the
electronic device from reflection power.
