1. Purpose
This method statement covers the requirement and procedure of PCCP Demolition for Alignment B.
2. Scope
This item of work shall consist of the Demolition of existing PCCP @ Alignment B for the preparation of
embankment layers in accordance with the DPWH Standard Specifications for Highways, Bridges and
Airports and in conformity to lines, grades and dimensions shown on the plans or established by the
Employer Representative
3. Responsibilities
It is the responsibility of the Project Manager and concerned Site personnel to ensure that all activities are
performed in compliance with this Procedure and applicable Contract Specifications. On projects where
designated QC Engineers are not available, the Site Engineer will be responsible for performing the duties of the
QC Engineer.

5. Safety Precautions.
Safety tool box meeting shall be conducted everyday to remind workers about concerning the safety.
All workers shall be provided with PPE(PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT) and shall be
Worn at all time on site. Safety Manager/Safety supervisor shall insure all the workers wear all the Safety
equipment provided.
All workers shall be advised to report any accident or injury to supervisor.
Proper and adequate provision of signage’s and barricades at diversions and temporary haul road as
Necessary.
Prime importance shall be given for personnel safety and protection of utility lines/services. It shall be
insure that the personnel involved are aware about the company safety regulation and confirmed that the
machinery are regularly maintained. Further to above, the following key points shall be considered
important.
All workers shall educate on good environment management practices and well discipline to environment. The
garbage bin shall be provided at the working area and supervisor shall insure its must be collected regularly and
disposed off at the approved dump site.
All workers shall insure that all tools and equipment machinery are in good condition to avoid any oil leakage that
could harm to environment.
