    Internal and External Vacancy Announcement


    Prime Health Response Initiative Formerly known as Hygeia Foundation is implementing Global Fund to fight AIDS,
    TB and Malaria, (GFATM) Project under the New Funding Model implementation in 5 states as Sub-recipient (SR)
    under the Family Health International (FHI360) who is the Principal Recipient (PR) for HIV/AIDS component of the
    Global Fund.
    PHRI is charged with the responsibility to provide Treatment Adherence, Care and Support services to clients in
    all Global Fund supported facilities in 5 States which are Osun, Ondo, Oyo, Ekiti and Ogun states.
    To strengthen our operations and interventions in the country, we are seeking qualified candidates for the position
    below:

    Job Title: Driver


    Project: Optimizing HIV Investment for Impact
    Position: One (1)
    Location: Ibadan
    Contract Type: Fixed term

    Job Summary:
    Under the guidance and supervision of the Admin unit, the Driver provides reliable and safe driving services
    ensuring high accuracy of work. He also demonstrates a client-oriented approach, high sense of responsibility,
    courtesy, tact and the ability to work with people of different national and cultural backgrounds. The Driver
    provides driving/logistic services to the operations and programme staff in the UCO office.
    Relationship: National Office team and Zonal officers.

    Job description /Role and responsibility


    • Ensures provision of reliable and secure driving services by:
    o a) Driving office project vehicles for the transport of authorized personnel and delivery and
    collection of mail, documents and other items and
    o b) Meeting official personnel and visitors when necessary
    • Ensures cost-savings through proper use of vehicle through accurate maintenance of daily vehicle logs.
    • Ensures proper day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle through timely minor repairs,
    arrangements for major repairs, timely changes of oil, check of tires, brakes, car washing, etc.
    • Ensures availability of all the required documents/supplies including vehicle insurance, vehicle logs, office
    directory, map of the city/country, first aid kit, necessary spare parts
    • Ensures that all immediate actions required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in
    accidents.
    • Perform minor office moves which will include moving pieces of office furniture and PCs and other items
    as specified as and when required
    • Ensure project vehicles are garaged overnight in the designated car park and the keys are securely kept
    • All necessary reports are completed in connection with any accident and must report this situation to the
    supervisor immediately.
    • Drive the company’s vehicle in accordance with the demands of the department you are assigned to,
    carefully and skillfully, ensuring that at all times you comply strictly with all road traffic regulations as
    enacted into law.
    • Ensure that you respond promptly to instructions passed to you by the company authorities and be
    mindful of the importance of the role, which you play by responding promptly to all instructions.
    • Display a high sense of responsibility, loyalty and discipline in the execution of your duties, ensuring also
    that you conduct yourself with decorum in relating to both staff and clients alike.
    • Ensure, you drive an assigned route to transport individuals to and from various work location as it may
    be required.
    • Ensure that you are punctual at all times and also that your whereabouts are known at all times by the
    relevant people.
    • Assumes responsibility for care and maintenance of vehicles; washes vehicles and cleans interior; takes
    vehicles to garage for maintenance and repair.
    • Any other duty that may be assigned.

    Key Performance Indicators/ Performance Goals:


    • Perform day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicles; check oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, etc. and
    ensure that the assigned project vehicles are road worthy and maintained up to the established security
    standards.
    • Log official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes, greasing, etc.
    • Perform other related duties as required.

    Qualification
    • Secondary Education. Valid Driver’s license
    • 5-8 years’ work experience as a driver; safe driving record; knowledge of driving rules and regulations and
    skills in minor vehicle repair
    • Driving license, knowledge of driving rules and regulations and skills in minor vehicle repair.
    Good knowledge of English and local language.
    • Willingness to travel at least 70% of the time and at short notices
