    The Trans-European Transport Networks (TEN-T) aims to develop an integrated transport network across Europe for roads, railways, inland waterways, maritime shipping routes, ports, airports and terminals. The objectives are to close gaps, remove bottlenecks, and eliminate barriers between member states' transport networks to promote mobility of people and goods, offer high-quality infrastructure, and increase economic and social cohesion across the EU. Nine core network corridors were identified in 2013 to facilitate coordinated development of the different transport modes.
