Learning activity 4

Evidence: Job interview

Imagine you are applying for a new job. Below you will find some common job
interview questions. For this evidence, you have to record yourself while you
answer them. Dress up. Look professional. Pay attention to your body language.
Show you really want to get that job. Remember to use the grammar structures
and vocabulary you have practiced within this learning activity.

1. If you could start your career over again, what would you do differently?

I would like to study economy and international business.

2. During your performance reviews, what criticism do you hear the most?
I listen to constructive criticism that helps me improve.

3. Tell me about your last position?


I was a program manager for a manufacturing company. I was in charge of cost
analysis concerning different quantities of manufacturing. I also worked on
planning the procedure for the next deliverables.
4. What is your work philosophy?
My work philosophy is to be the best in all, improve everything and to creative.

5. How have you changed professionally speaking in the last two years?
No too much, because I have not speaking in English, I have had problems with
the pronunciation.

6. Tell me about the best manager you have ever had.


My best manager has been my teacher Molly, she was a good teacher.

7. What were the most memorable accomplishments in your last position?


The most memorable accomplishments were to get my promotion to boss in three
places, to have independence and to be my own boss.

8. Why do you want to leave your current job?


Because I need to travel to USA, I think that in that country I can improve my skills
and to get money.

9. In your previous position, how much time did you spend learning how to do
things better?

Really, I don't spend a lot of time learning new things, I only spent a week. I like to
take notes and practice at home until I catch up with everything taught.

10. If you’re very happy with your current job, why do you want to leave?
Because I need to try new challenges, learn another culture, another way of life.
