    Past simple ‫الماضي البسيط‬


    Use: to talk about actions happened in the past
    . ‫للتحدث عن احداث حصلت في الماضي‬

    Rule: S + v2 + O
    EX: she visited me last week.

    Negation: S + didn’t + v1 + O
    EX: they didn’t help us yesterday.

    Question: did + S + v1 + O?
    EX: did you come here in 1996?
    Yes, I did.
    No, I didn’t
    Keywords:
    Yesterday / last (time) / in (time)

    Past continuous ‫الماضي المستمر‬


    Use: to talk about actions happened in the past
    and still happening till Now.
    ‫للتحدث عن احداث حصلت في الماضي واستتمرت حتى اآلن‬

    Rule: S + was/were + v.ing + O


    Singular was
    Plural were

    EX: he was going to the restaurant .


    EX: you were taking me home.

    Negation: S + was/were+not + v.ing + O


    EX: I wasn’t doing anything.

    Question: was/ware + S + v.ing + O?


    EX: were you speaking to me?
    Yes, I was
    No, I wasn’t
    While/When

    Past continuous when past simple.

    Q: correct the verb


    EX: I was playing on the PlayStation when the
