QuadCore™ is a revolutionary insulation material developed by
Kingspan, a quantum leap in insulated panel technology that
delivers industry-leading thermal performance, superior fire
protection and enhanced environmental credentials.
Biological
UltraTech Versatile QuadCore™ panels are normally resistant
to attack from mould, fungi, mildew and vermin. No urea
formaldehyde is used in the manufacture of the panels.
UltraTech Versatile QuadCore™ panels can incorporate
project-specific HYGIENEsafe, wash and clean down facings.
Panel Joint
The panel side joint is a unique engineered joint which achieves
excellent air leakage, thermal and structural performance.
The panel side joint can accommodate vapour, hygiene and fire
rated seals and can be silicone sealed for regulatory compliance.

UltraTech Versatile QuadCore™ panels achieve airtightness
of 0.02m3/hr/m2 at 50Pa in accordance with EN 14509.

The Emergency Escape Panel assembly consists of two parts –

Kingspan single button Interlock Specification

An integral part of the Kingspan door interlocking solution are Operational voltage 12v DC
the Push Button / LED Indicator units, which are integrated into Material Polyester fascia, aluminium chassis

Kingspan Door Interlock Controller Specification

The IG-KS-04 Door Interlock Controller is capable of interlocking Power Output 230v AC mains
up to 4 doors. It can also be linked to additional identical Integral Power Supply 12v DC 5A
controllers to enable the interlocking of as many doors as Material Polycarbonate
necessary. Dimensions 280mm x 280mm x 130mm / 11.0 x 11.0 x 5.1in

Kingspan Shearlock
The Kingspan Shearlock delivers a fully flush compact and
reliable locking solution. The Shearlock is installed at the leading
edge of the door leaf to provide maximum lock connection.
Achieving up to 1000kg / 2204.62lb of shear holding capability,
this Shearlock also has a good tolerance to door misalignment.
The lock fully monitors the door position and switches a clean
change over relay when the lock is confirmed to be locked.
A secondary magnetic reed contact is also integral to the
Shearlock. This contact allows the lock to be used in “normally
open” doors as well as “normally closed” doors within
interlocking systems, without the need for a separate door
contact to be fitted to the door and frame.

The MEDEX option is a low iron, high light transmission toughened glass diffuser that, in addition

For areas that require coloured light or UV protective sleeves (yellow light), this can be integrated
together with white light in one luminaire using twin switching. This provides the flexibility of
having both white and coloured light independently in the same area.

Specifically for small rooms such as air locks, the advantage of having double ballasts within the
luminaire ensures that in the event of tube failure the area will remain illuminated.
UV Protection
The C20 UV safety sleeve provide protection up to 400 nanometers.
Yellow Area
The LY5 UV safety sleeve contains a specially coated light yellow ultra violet absorbing filter,
safe up to 470 nanometers. Designed for higher UV-sensitive materials and locations but giving
utmost brightness.
The G10 UV safety sleeve provides protection up to 520 nanometers and is designed for
applications such as plate making and circuit board manufacturing.

Power Supply – Internal Connections

As standard the luminaires are to be hard wired. This is by removing the luminaire lid and inserting
the power supply cable through the cable gland entry. Internally there is a terminal block for both
power, DALI and emergency options as required.
Alternatively the luminaire can be supplied with a flying lead already prewired to the luminaire
and with a prepared end or plug connected to the opposite end of the lead.
Power Supply – External Connections

The luminaire is prewired with a walk-on PCB (power connection box) on the back of the lid. The
PCB houses a panel mount connector for plug and play connections and is available in 3, 4, 5 & 6
pole to accommodate DALI and emergency versions.
Pre-wired leads to the length of your choice can be supplied to create a complete plug & plug
wiring system.
